Anybody have experience with Link Whisper?

Quite a powerful tool but it can be a bit messy.
So say if your blog post about different niches, it can anyhow interlink them.
For example, say you have one article that's about sports - swimming. And on another article, it is about music - a guitar tab and the song title has the lyrics 'swimming' in it.
Link Whisper may accidentally inter-link these 2 articles together (as long as it finds the keyword 'swimming' in either article, it will inter-link to each other). And I think that will just confuse Google Spiders even more, since they are totally different niche; and internal linking to different niches is a bad move.
The good news is that only happens if you use that automatic feature of Link Whisper. And such mistakes made are 50-50 (their AI can be smart). You can also use that manual review in link whisper to check the changes before publishing it, and that takes time.
So if your blog is totally about just 1 niche/market, this tool's automatic feature is a timesaver. Best still if your blog is just started/new.
But if your blog has multiple niches or discusses various subjects, then you may want to reconsider or not using that automatic feature.
Again, this is just my opinion. And the tool may have improved/updated to fix the above issues. You can try the tool yourself as they have a 7-day money back guarantee or something.

I personally used it for 2 years and decided to create my own Linkilo.co
From my experience, the link suggestion is not based on A.I and I don't know why they claim that, a bit of red flag because that is a lie.
The link suggestion is based on the title tag and it will scrape the word and remove some words to match it.
You can add custom keywords or import keyword from GSC, which is nice.
But the reporting and the suggestion is still on a low end performance.

So I created a cannibalization report so it can identify if you added an anchor text, twice, to more than one article.
For example:
If you linked “internal linking” to post A, and B. It will let you know and you can remove either post A or B. You don’t want to use the same anchor text for two different post because it will confuse search engines on which post to rank you for that keyword.
Another reporting issue was to see how many times I used the same anchor text. I wanted to know if I over did my anchor text for a specific keyword but Link Whisper does not provide that report.
Lot of these things starts to creep up after you use it.
As a beginner, you can use Link Whisper to get an idea of how to internal link, but you can also do it manually.
My plugin on the other hand provides more advanced auditing and suggestion that I started to realize I needed, after getting frustrated with Link Whisper, wanting to do more. If you just want to add link suggestion with Link Whisper, that is fine, but you are stuck after that.
I used to use google sheet to extract the data and see what anchor text quantity and quality.

Link Whisper is great if you don’t have time to come up with a solid keyword-based evolving link framework for your blog.
If you just need links that somewhat make sense, I would definitely recommend Link Whisper—it’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s very intuitive.
What I don’t like about it, though, is if you are going to be building interior links for SEO purposes, it isn't really that helpful.
You have to still do things manually.
Basically, you have to map out your content ahead of time (before you write it) so you know which piece connects with which piece and what kind of context you are creating.
This can pay off handsomely in the future because it creates context for Google and can help you rank higher, but it is a pain in the butt because it’s like creating a map of a city where ¾ of the buildings don’t even exist yet.
I hope you see where I'm coming from.
