Hey guys!
Were wondering if you work with advertising networks? How do you know if it's a good one?

Hey guys,

We decided to share with you some tips on how to choose an ad network (following the experience of our publishers).

Sometimes when offers don’t convert, the problem is not with the approach. It might lie in the traffic itself. We compiled a list of points to consider while choosing your traffic source.

  1. Available payout models - choose what like most:
    - CPC (cost per click)
    - CPM (cost per 1k view)
    - CPA (cost per action/conversion)
  2. Targeting options
GEOs, languages, gender, age, devices, browsers, connection types, operators + if there are thematic or behavioral targeting (by interests).
  3. Traffic volumes for the offer’s GEO
Oh, this is a simple one. If the majority of publishers come from the US, you won’t be able to drive lots of traffic to Indonesia.
  4. Specialization on certain verticals
There are networks that specialize in porn websites and for them adult offers are more relevant. Others, however, might ban gray-hat offers.
  5. Black/White-lists and auto optimization
The network should be able to provide the option of switching off the non-converting platforms (where you don’t have any clicks/conversions). Some offer auto optimization (where this is all done automatically with the help of AI).
  6. “Apple” formats
You can’t work with classical push notifications with iOS. Instead, you can work with iOS calendars and in-page push.
  7. Minimized investment
There are networks that allow you to start traffic with just $50, but most require at least $100 on your account.
  8. A good anti fraud system
Chinese “click farms” don’t sleep. Before testing, ask someone on forums or in specialized chats about the networks to avoid scam projects.

Do you have any other tips?
