9-5 Job > IM

Everybody have his opinion I guess. I do agree that IM have it's struggles, but hell I will never say 9 - 5 job is better. If anyone could choose, I am sure the majority would prefer IM to have more time for themselves and for their family while still making money.

That being said - it's not right calling people loosers lol. It seems to me you cannot earn money from IM, so you get jealous of people making money from IM and accepted that a 9 - 5 job is what you will settle for. No hard feelings buddy.

Even if OP is trying to bitch here, he is some kind right .

Social media - accounts can be banned at any time
SEO - a google algo update can take your site down , ( months of work and investment gone )
No need to give more examples , as you probably know many of them.

I know what is going from hero to zero . And it really sucks, getting up and never give up is the key.

I can tell my personal experience, which is that after 10 years of doing IM , I find it harder year after year and more saturated. It could get to the point that I might be back to a 9 - 5 job in a near future , as I live in first world country where life is expensive.
I have been on the other side ( working for a sectarious corporation full of what I call " linkedin CEOs" ) and it was the worst thing I ever tried.


Anyway , and if the mention above happens , I will always remember that IM paid the full mortgage of my home and gave me savings to buy almost a second home . 5 years of passive earnings just working a few hours per week . As you can see I am being totally honest on my reply. But it is true that IM is not long term stable unless you go whitehat , which requires money and resources that probably the average marketer don´t have

Well. You must train your mind to work for someone. And you must pretend you enjoy that.
Which I wouldn't consider real.
Some people just prefer to be fake all their life and take 1/10th of the cake.

I would say, if you manage to get an offer for remote work and it's 4 hours daily, it's okay.
Other than that, it's the end of your soul.

forgot to say that IM is not for everyone. Just have a look of the current active members of this forum. Maybe 10-15% are accounts older than 5 years.

yes, you can find a method that works for a year or two. Or you can rank an affiliate site and live of it for a period of time. But nothing lasts forever. The majority of the IMers quit when google slaps their site or their blackhat method is patched

one thing is making money online and a different one is making the internet your way of living

Software dev is not low pay compared to what CEOs make mate. Look up the average profit a company pulls per year, that's typically what the CEO takes home, I'm sure it's less than a software dev.

$60k per year is even hard in US. You need to work really hard and study hard to get to $60k per year. It's like average computer science salary in the US.
And being a computer scientist doesn't happen overnight.
 
Yeah but what about your balls?

I sit around selling social media services, i make good money. With a little luck the payments ive received in cryptos will all increase im value given a few years, and then ill add that on top of the cash i earn, and have some real money to sleep with.

But the key important thing is that i can scratch my balls at any time. On a 9-5 you cant do it. This is a problem for me and the main reason i do IM.

Its a matter of Balls!
 
I managed to get $35,000/year income in exactly two years without any proper strategy and this included a period of time when I did not do any IM for six months.
This year I started to put focus back in IM and my income has only gone up.

I think it's a lot about mindset, I used to be a video game addict, had over +20 000 hours played in different games and then in 2019 I decided to sell my PC and bought a laptop. Started from the bottom and learned how to make websites with HTML/CSS/JS and from there I discovered SEO, where it all started.

When I played video games I always tried to be the best and find the most optimal ways to do things and practice.
