To me your idea of who people here are is very limited.
You have the idea of being a publisher in the affiliate marketing program.
However you did not list the idea of being an advertiser in the affiliate marketing program.

Also why would you not open your own affiliate network?
I guess your position is someone who is looking at the homepage feed and concluding it's all that is.

I live in Peru and can earn about $3000 per month with a manager position. Not as much as in the US but I can start a consulting business to earn $5000 per month after years of experience.
I was thinking of starting a niche site on the side but I don’t know if it’s doable to earn at least $5,000 per month and flip it for $100,000. But I am a noob and maybe it’s not possible for me, specially with a full time job I have no spare time.
Also browsing the internet gives me a sense of euphoria and anxiety, so I don’t wanna ruin my mental health for an impossible payout. In addition my English sucks lol. I don’t know if I can write 100s of articles and rank.

So first you call people losers, then ask for help because you have euphoria and anxiety.
Typical method grab try.

You have to go hard or go home. If you can't automate it and structures behind it, it's not for you.
Consulting business is simply limited to your own time.
And if you've ever thought anyone can run consulting business, you were right.
But the peak there for most people is about $10k monthly and you sell your hours.

The only reason this forum still exists is the concept of scalabitlity.
If those things were limited to $10k per month, we would not really discuss them for so long.

Work 2 hours a day for 30 days, get living wage (what you get right now) and proceed to setting up more.
If you can't make it pay well working 2 hours per day, you already know there is something wrong with your setup.

This is the trap you don't think about. You sell 1500 hours and get just money for 1500 hours.
1500 hours spent on building your own business can result in structures that will get you 15000 human hours.
How does that sound? Even if it was all luck, it's some risk worth taking for many.

Yeah paid ads are very cheap if you know what you are doing, I don't rely on SEO anymore as paid ads is the most scalable, even in the long term

But OP certainly was misled by the homepage feed thinking we are going for CPA and adult stuff forever.

First think about mental health (and help). I know it sounds very baaaad to agree you can't handle it yourself.
But professionals (who are many times self-employeed educated millionaires) called doctors, may help you get the issue resolved.
They will even guide you if you tell them that you've found this exact forum. But remember to tell the full story.
That you found a bunch of entrepreneurs and had trouble seeing they are really entrepreneurs.

I know a guy in my country who was working in 9-5 as a software engineer. He was at $5k monthly.
He made a youtube channel, then threw a campaign, made an exceptional guide for software devs and made $500k in one month.
But he did admit he would not make it without the help of psychologists who helped him with his typical corporate burnout.

germany isn't a 3rd world country and no i don't sell links, i run my own company, sell software, do unix admin work and coding aside of affiliate marketing.
instead of hating on others as you are jealous of their success, why don't you go back to work as slave of your miserable 9-5 job and stfu.
 
I don’t think side hustle with 9-5 job is a bad idea. Not a get rich tomorrow scheme but would eventually be there.

Also even if you get less in IM than in your 9-5 Job it’s not all about the money.

I somewhat agree with you, OP. You have correctly stated the advantages of 9 to 5: "The corporate world gives you better salary, incentives, health insurance and job security."
Those are important.

Problem is, 9 to 5 also means you are like a slave. You must always wake up at the same hour like a robot, go to work, a lot of stress and pressure and in most cases the bosses behave as dictators, sometimes you also need to play office politics and did I already say s t r e s s!
Even in 9 to 5 you'll experience long hours, heavy workload, conflicts with co-workers or bosses and much more.

That's why lots of us dream of being our own boss. We want flexible work schedule: like, if I want to work today I do, if not then I'm not. I make my own rules and stuff like that. Freedom. It's clear this it's not for everyone through.

I have a job, and I'm paid like 500 dollars/month. But I work all day very hard and the stress is killing me. I'm also trying to make a business out of mobile apps/games - I already have like 2-3 years of experience now. I didn't made any money still and it's indeed very hard and discouraging but I fight for it.

The internet offers us opportunities and we must take advantage of them
