Ranking a Rating Site (with over 4k urls)

Hey BH,

I've been working on ranking a site who's purpose is to collect celebrity ratings

Basically I'm looking to rank celeb names which are all low-comp and high traffic. So far it's been going pretty well with a few Google positions on page 4 for random celebs but it's not pulling the traffic I expected.

Here's my current SEO:
RankerX for T1s
Push those T1s into GSA SER and XRumer to get T2s and 3s.

Given the nature of what this site is, I think search engines might not be the best channel for quicker success.

Anyone promote something similar and have any advice to share?

My advice is that you probably shouldn't post your URL on the forums like this.

Hope you don't mind a little bit of constructive criticism about your UI.

Firstly, I found that "way to echo xxxx" thing rather weird and somewhat annoying tbh. Secondly I think you could potentially lose a lot of social shares as there is no indication to the user that that is what the arrow thing in the bottom right corner is for.

Yeah first I'd take your URL down, to stop people from possibly attacking your website with negative seo (because hey, some people are just dicks and do that shit for fun) secondly, you need more content, it's all about content and proper on page SEO more than anything, backlinks won't do shit unless your ON PAGE is close to perfect

generate page title and description metatags form celeb name and you have half success. i think theres some software that uses keywords meta tag found on site as anchors, maybe gsa had this function. this should speed it up a bit

The problem with user generated content: Without pre-existing content, new users won't start interacting. Without new users interacting, no user generated content. It's the same with forums, once they gained momentum, they can start flying but most will stay empty without an initial push. Pre-populating the site a little would certainly help, with pages mainly consisting of duplicate content (the sentences at the bottom, since there is no other content except the form and the image) you won't ever start ranking.

So I type in a celebrity name, get a partial picture of them and then just rate them?
Why not talk about the celebrity? Latest movie/show/project? Awards list, charities they support? Stupid shit they have done? Show their latest tweets(for the ones active), or other social media?
I looked up some celebrities and it just left me wondering, why do I care? I mean, sure, I barely know who any celebrities are, but what do I get from your site?

Load up some content, put up a bunch of fake rankings and build a hardcore social media community, and you'll see the benefit.

Your strategy seems ok. A good SEO strategy helps you define your traffic. You have to ranking keywords on Page 1 on Google and Securing a guest post on a reputable site can increase blog traffic to your website and help build your brand into the bargain.

In my opinion SEO is the best way to drive traffic to your website for free. My website getting 37720 sessions for 6 days

Guest post is gonna be tough on 4k pages. Getting 37720? Are you using the same mix I am or do you have another high level topic I can research (don't have to share exact method)?
