Hello BHW!

Today I'd like to share a social media platform with you where you can earn money by blogging.

It's a cryptocurrency social media platform called steemit.com .
You can post whatever you like - articles, pictures, etc (no plagiarised content obviously).
Then other members of the community can upvote you - and depending on their voting power (their holding of the STEEM cryptocurrency) their vote will give you any amount of money between a few cents and hundreds of dollars.

I'm active on steemit myself (my account is "sirwinchester" as well) and when I discovered the site in july 2016 people used to make thousands of dollars per day.
Now the price of the STEEM cryptocurrency has dropped a little, but you can still easily get a few bucks per post.

One tip I can give you is to promote your post in the steemit.chat forums and also facebook groups, and definitely use some popular tags as well (but don't overdo it, you can get downvoted for tag abuse.)

Other than that, just try it out and have some fun - post some nice pictures you shot or write about something you're passionate about.
The community is very open and welcoming, and as long as you don't post plagiarised content and connect with some people you can make some easy money with blogging!

When cashing out the money, you'll have to convert the STEEM cryptocurrency to bitcoin first (for example on an exchange site like poloniex) and then exchange the bitcoin for your desired currency like $ or € .

this is odd...I have tried registering an account on the site. However for some reason when I have tried to verify my account with my phone number (legitament USA number) it would not allow me to proceed. Saying that number is invalid. I currently live in the states, any of you met this issue as of yet? If so any ideas as to how to further proceed. I have also tried using my google voice number yet that did not work either.

I just joined steemit community. It looks interesting, let's see how things goes. I just posted my own creation (Photos) and I got around 40 likes, few comments and followers in just 1 hour. May I know when you joined steemit and how many $$$ you made till time? Thanks for sharing this great platform.

I've heard of this problem before, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
I think your best bet would be to make an account on steemit.chat and ask in the #help chat channel, I'm sure somebody must have figured out a solution to that by now!

I joined in July 2016, and back then the profits were significantly higher than right now because the STEEM price was skyrocketing.

Hmm thanks for letting me know, wasn't aware of that. Busy.org cooperates with steemit and seems like they don't have their own signup process yet.

As far as I know, no.
You can't use spun content, and you need to be active in the community and promote your posts in order for them to be seen at all.

It will take 1-3 days, about 1 week maximum!

It depends. Now I make around $ 6,000-7,000 per month (about $200 daily). But there was a time where I was making $600 or more a day, so around $20k a month.
It really depends on the value of the steem cryptocurrency too. Last year the value was skyrocketing, so the rewards were skyrocketing as well.
But steem is also a good long-term investment, since the price rises 2-3% each month.

Of course these numbers are not to be expected from day 1, I've been blogging continuously for almost a year, I've established a name and a fanbase on the platform. What's most important for new users is to engage with the community and build your followers so that you have people who regularly upvote your content!
