Hello BHW!

Today I'd like to share a social media platform with you where you can earn money by blogging.

It's a cryptocurrency social media platform called steemit.com .
You can post whatever you like - articles, pictures, etc (no plagiarised content obviously).
Then other members of the community can upvote you - and depending on their voting power (their holding of the STEEM cryptocurrency) their vote will give you any amount of money between a few cents and hundreds of dollars.

I'm active on steemit myself (my account is "sirwinchester" as well) and when I discovered the site in july 2016 people used to make thousands of dollars per day.
Now the price of the STEEM cryptocurrency has dropped a little, but you can still easily get a few bucks per post.

One tip I can give you is to promote your post in the steemit.chat forums and also facebook groups, and definitely use some popular tags as well (but don't overdo it, you can get downvoted for tag abuse.)

Other than that, just try it out and have some fun - post some nice pictures you shot or write about something you're passionate about.
The community is very open and welcoming, and as long as you don't post plagiarised content and connect with some people you can make some easy money with blogging!

When cashing out the money, you'll have to convert the STEEM cryptocurrency to bitcoin first (for example on an exchange site like poloniex) and then exchange the bitcoin for your desired currency like $ or € .

Of course there's lots of payment proof. Look at the trending page and you can see how much money a post has earned.
Then when you click on somebody's profile and then on their wallet, you can see whenever they've cashed out coins by transferring it to an exchange site, like poloniex for example.

I've been blogging on steemit since July 2016 and I can 100% confirm that they pay out.

In the beginning I would say stick to popular tags like news, travel, or something cryptocurrency related.
You need to build a follower base.
When you start with a new account you won't have that follower base, so your posts very likely won't be seen - that's why promotion and making connections is very important at the beginning.
Promote your posts in the steemit.chat and also on facebook groups.
When in the chat, don't just drop the link there and leave. Upvote other people's posts, and then they will likely upvote yours in return. This is very important to get some votes!
Also if you have some time, just look around steemit and comment under some articles.
The person will likely check out your blog in return, and upvote you.

The more people you connect with, the better.
Make some friends and they'll upvote you.

in general, the basic concept is simply to engage with the content of other users and then it's very likely that they'll check out your blog as well.

It's the amount of upvotes that your article receives.

But not everyone's upvote gives you the same amount of money.
That depends on the voter's steem power - their share of the steem currency.
It means that somebody who holds for example 500k STEEM and is a large investor can give your article like $30 with just his vote alone.
Whereas a new (or regular) user might only add a few cents to your payout.

The articles get paid out after 24 hours, then the funds get transferred to your wallet from where you can cash out to any exchange service at any time.

There's absolutely no investment needed, it's free and easy (and fun).

Post your articles in there and make sure to upvote some other people's stuff as well.
Then your posts will be seen and you don't start from 0!

No there are no ads. You can earn money by getting upvotes on your blogposts, and also upvotes on your comments. So basically everyone who is very active in the community gets rewarded.
And no there's no paypal cashout, you'll cashout the STEEM cryptocurrency, then exchange that to bitcoin on a website like poloniex, and then you can change bitcoin pretty much anywhere in any currency you like.

how long did it take before u got some coin from it?

For me it only took 3 or 4 posts I believe until one of them hit over $500. But that was back in July last year, when the prices where going crazy.
Now it's all about getting SEEN when you first join. That's why I suggested promoting your articles in the steemit.chat and facebook, and also upvoting other people's content.
If you just post something and leave it like that, it will probably be overlooked!

I haven't tried it, but I don't think it'll work.
They have a bot which will autmatically post a comment if it detects that your content is plagiarised.
If you manage to spin very well you might get away with it, but not forever probably.

Hmm yes I've heard of that bug before, unfortunately I don't know if there's a way around it yet.
It's a common problem so maybe you can find some advice on google.
