Do squeeze pages need to be updated if using wordpress??

ok i have a valid question.

im new to cpa and squeeze pages, my whole im experience resides in blog flipping, adsense, and ewhoring(i use cpa's but not on its on squeeze page).

anyway, to my understanding of how this is done i would get a website write a nice pre-sell copy and strategically add some photos and links to the product site.

being that this stuff never gets updated how does google view the content and the website as a whole?? do they get lower rankings because of the lack of updated content?

Also is it possible to make a squeeze page using wordpress....i suppose it is, just write my stuff and never update the page...

Or would i get better nojo with google if i update my content on my squeeze page...sorry for my noobish questions but im learning.

With wordpress think of it this way,

The Big G sees it as a blog - now if the blog has good content it will tend to get updated weekly or maybe 2/3 times a week or more if its a big one. Now if google sees your "blog" with 1 static page and no updated content it will think that the blogger has just given up and so it won't give major rankings.

So just add a new article (300-500) words every week or every other week at a minimum just to show google its still an active blog.

- Thats just my 2 cents - google may totally ignore all that but it would make sense for them to look at it.

Yeah see i thought about that, but that lead me to think about this..

the reason those cpa sites use single static pages are because they have written their sales copy. if they update their blog with new content then their sales copy will be lost within their blog. so thats why i am trying to figure out whether google penalizes these sites...my thought is no or else their wouldn't be so many people doing it. i guess i can experiment but i figured i would get some feedback first...if anybody has some info please chime in..

they probably don't care what their google rankings are. that's why they pay affiliates to promote their product. you could always update your blog and just hide it on another page that has no link to the main squeeze page. so those people never see it. i think that might work as far as updating. maybe someone who knows more about google will chime in here........

when im talking about squeeze pages im talking about guys who go to clickbank to promote other peoples product..what are they doing on their pages??

Nevermind i just found a way to do this that will increase my page views and enable me to use more longtails hence get more traffic...laser targeted....

ok basically you make a blog using wordpress
you use a domain name with the keywords you are targeting(hyphens are fine believe me)
you setup your blog using whatever plugins you choose
-- now for the hard part--
you have to manually write post for your blog(you can outsource this if you like)
i prefer to write my own but if you do outsource make sure you give them a list of keywords that must be used within each post. and tell them how many times each word must occur throughout the text.
now each post must be like a small mini site/pre-sell page.
make sure your keywords are in each title
then you write your post and put links throughout the text or at the end.
the key is to write each post in a way that makes them want to go and buy the product.
obviously they are initially interested because they searched for something, now its up to you to convert.

remember, you are initially making several squeeze pages on one blog, using targeted longtail keywords. so the more you use the more traffic you'll get, which will lead to more sales...hope this helps..

make sure you set a static page as your home page - that way your blog can grow but acts like a sales page on the TLD, then add links from each of you squeeze pages back to your main one - I do this but with an autoblog so I can just let it grow and grab traffic
