New WP Tracking Plugin - Google Analytics Alternative...

I am the person who is behind the actual plugin as far as the creation goes. But I do have developers who work on it.
One of the best features the GA has is keywords rank tracking. Sometimes you get ranked for an unplanned keyword and it's nice to know such information so that you can work on these keywords too.

Still I don't like to add GA to my sites not because I use black hat methods on some but for SEO reasons as the big G will be tracking your traffic and if your UVs didn't match your backlinks building efforts then they'll penalize your site for it.

My question is; can your plugin track the keywords ranking? even for a given set of keywords. Currently I have "Search Terms Tagging" plugin on most o my WP installations to show the incoming search terms, this way I got those displayed on my home page for obvious SEO reasons and will alert me for possible unnoticed keywords.

I understand that your plugin can already track incoming search terms but can your developers add the feature of tracking the rankings for these search terms?

I just find it on the WP plugins and just use the "5 stars" rating plugin. Seems to working fine with me. Never use yours but maybe in the future. :)

always good to have a software/plugin that you can compare your stats too to see if their even remotely close

dennis11209 - If you would like to skip the opt in form there is a button at the bottom of the actual form that would allow you to bypass it.

Off3rz - The option to track rankings for certain keywords will be coming out really soon. I have planned on releasing this from the very beginning but I wanted to make sure everything was stable with the plugin before I added it.

maz07 - Good stuff, you should try it out! ;)

cstephen - that is correct.

thanks. bookmarked and will give a try on some of my new sites.

PrimeOne- Good stuff, please let me know if you have any questions.

formosaz - The script was coded in such a way where it would not be a resource hog. We have implemented an API that pulls most of the visitor data from another server and also have the script set to pull information every 50 seconds or so. So this lowers CPU drastically.

Looks very promising ... especially if you can code it to pull stats into one WP site that manages the others.

I love statspress but the database gets so huge and I need to empty it manually on many of my bigger sites at least every 2 weeks.. Does this plugin deletes old info and keeps only 2 months of data, or manual intervention is required?

click3 - I plan on making an API feature which allows you to see multiple blogs from one location.

kikiriki - To be honest I have never really tried Piwik but from what I hear it uses up a lot of
resources?

ok111 - Good stuff, please let me know what you think about it. :)

combson - Currently I have not had any issues with the database size but if this becomes an issue
I can add a feature that will either empty old data or find a way to compress it somehow.

big_on3 - Good stuff, let me know if you have any questions

Anyway to add outbound link tracking? I really like your plugin so far.

Most of wordpress blogger will not use Google Analytic because there are fabulous tracking plugin work better than google analytics.
WordPress Wassup Plugin
WordPress Statpress
WordPress SlimStat
Piwik Analytics WordPress Plugin

momba12- This feature will be coming very soon.

Jerrickyeoh- Don't forget Track That Stat ;-)

OP you must be kidding, that is your plugin or you simply have no clue about this subject. That must be the most retarded stats plugin I have ever seen. Not only the amount of information it offers is slim but it is also highly incorrect. For example it tells me I get visits from like 20 referring sites. No visits from Google, Yahoo or Bing though and no search traffic or keywords are reported. NONE of those referrals have a link to my site. They're not even related.

You know what's worse than no stats data? Incorrect stats data.

Which plugin are you referring to exactly?

Well, to be honest Track That Stat is still a brand new plugin and it has a lot of improving to do. I am not saying that it is the best plugin in the world but there are many users who enjoy the actual plugin.

Instead of bashing a new plugin that was created freely for the wordpress community, it would be best to try to troubleshoot your issues.

There are a few people who have had issues with the plugin so far, and those issues have been resolved in most cases. (I have released 7 updates in the last month alone, and the plugin was first launched on 2/29/12) I will always try my best to make sure that this plugin is functional.

Anyhow, if the plugin is not working for you for whatever reason, then there may be many factors that come into play. It really depends on your setup, and if you are using plugins that are not compatible at the moment.

Right now I know that there are issues with caching plugins and this may be part of what you are experiencing. Also, you may not understand the plugin completely in regards to some of the features.

I will be releasing a user guide soon to explain everything in great detail. As far as me not having a clue about the actual subject of analytical data, that is not only incorrect but rather offensive.

It takes a lot of time and effort to roll out these scripts and people like you should really make sure you know what you are talking about before you leave a heated comment for everyone to read.

But then again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you would like help troubleshooting your issues, I would be more than happy to assist. If not then please keep your negative comments to your self.
