Very good! Does it slow down WP like some other stats plugins?

From my experience it does not slow down wordpress at all. I have it installed on shared servers with hostgator as well as VPS accounts.

How much loads the server? The last time i used a similar plugin they suspended my account for extremely high overload.

The thing is usually such plugins do not consume alot of resource in the beginning but as time progress they do tend to overload. How long have you tested this plugin?:)

The plugin was written in order to avoid high loads on the server. Instead of triggering processes multiple times in one occurrence, then script will only trigger each process after 50 seconds.

So this lowers the load on the server as well as CPU.

Most scripts will trigger the server every 1-3 seconds. So this creates many processes on the server and it will cause you to get suspended for using up too many resources.

I have tested the plugin for many months. I currently have many sites with large databases of data from the actual plugin and I do not see any noticeable difference in regards to the speed of the wordpress interface.

Google analytics is a great tool and is very detailed. The only downside is that all of the information within google analytics is tracked by Google. Google sees all of your traffic, referring links etc.

With this plugin, it is hosted on your self hosted WP installation. So you are the only one with access to that information. Some people may not want Google to know everything about the methods they are using to promote their sites. (Especially black hatters)

Another advantage is having all of your statistics in one place when you log into your blogs.

Wasn't long ago that I deleted my sites from GA. Had been looking for a good alternative. I will be taking a look at this.

    You are the coder/developer?

I am the person who is behind the actual plugin as far as the creation goes. But I do have developers who work on it.

Still, its per site. Its not possible to get an overview of multiple sites.

I understand it correctly you will have to log in to each site to check the stats?

However it looks great, just installed it on 15-ish sites...

Yes currently you would have to install it on each wordpress site. But if you log into each one all the time then that would not make much of a difference.

However, one of our later features will be to enable you to access all installs from each blog you long into to, or from one central location.

How can we be sure no data are sent out by the plugin ? Do you guarantee you dont track customers' blogs?

How data are stored ? in mysql database? How big this database become with a blog with 1k/uv mo?

Statpress is good one, but again you cant use it on all shared hosting accounts because it creates large database. The solution is to store data on external server but ere comes the problem with privacy. With google is easy - it already knows almost everything... :)

I might try your plugin on one website. I really dont want GA on all my satellites.

Thanx for the plugin mate, I only have two sites so far, but from what I have read would prefer to stay away from google stats.
So thanx again for making this plugin available. ;-)

Q - How can we be sure no data are sent out by the plugin ? Do you guarantee you dont track customers' blogs?

A - All of your data is stored internally on your server. I do not have any access to this information. I guarantee that I do not track anything on your blogs. Not only would that be unethical but I am pretty sure wordpress.org would not let me upload the plugin to their directory if this was the case.

Also, all of the code is made public for the actual plugin, so you can view it an analyze it your self to confirm.

Q - How data are stored ? in mysql database?

A- All of the data is stored within your mysql database.

Q- How big this database become with a blog with 1k/uv mo?

A - The database size would depend on the actual data that is being collecting so there is no set number. If all of your traffic comes from referring sites, then it would be less than if your traffic came from both search engines and referring sites, which would include keywords data as well.

    You are very welcome! :)

I have been using this plugin for 2 days. So far it has given good and accurate details. Resource wise it doesn't seem to be hog. I have already uninstalled piwik and will continue to use this plugin.
