How many months does it takes to get hit by a Google Update and lose all your traffic?

How can you prevent this from happening?

I am kinda paranoid...

Maybe you can estimate it and sell your site before getting hit by an update?

As less as one month. Sometimes it happens after few months.

You can’t predict Google updates, I think we should focus on our sites by avoiding thin content and spammy links not the update.

There’s no set timeline, some sites get hit right away, others stay untouched for years.

Best way to avoid it is steady content quality, natural backlinks, and avoiding obvious shortcuts. Flipping before updates is a gamble since you can’t really predict when Google rolls one out.

Let me make a bold statement.
There are no site that's not hit by Google update.
So don't worry about it and keep doing what you are doing. When everyone is hit or is gonna get hit there is no point worrying about it.

Google updates can hit anytime. Stay safe by focusing on quality content, backlinks, and good seo practices. there is no guaranteed way to predict or avoid drops.

My sites have been hit by 4 times now, I have sold it all for low prices coz of it, every time I got hit it was in September, and all sites were like 16 months to 3 years old, and it was spam update that hit me.

there is no stopping it if you have to worry about it from my experience.

Only way to stop it is good links and Good Content according google, but that's just BS, I have seen sites that have very good content and links but are not owned by huge corps got hit.

and the huge sites that copied content from these small sites took the spots for small sites, absolute bs.

Google updates don’t follow a set timeline, so instead of guessing, it’s smarter to build your site perfectly so that people remember your site or Brand.

yes, build your site perfectly.

then get hit anyway :p

There’s no set time some sites last years, others get hit fast. Best prevention is diversifying traffic, keeping content solid, and not relying on one tactic. Selling before an update is more of a gamble than a strategy.

updates ain’t on a timer, g can gut u month 1 or let u ride years. depends if ur footprint matches what the algo cracks down on. thin ai filler, pbn heavy link juice, churny pages = faster target. clean + mixed profiles last longer.
