21 Methods to Help You Overcome Procrastination

I think that kinda threads belongs to

My Journey Discusions

Yeah, it's a bit similar. I didn't think about it like that, because almost all threads in My Journey Discussion are about Journeys to make money, therefore most of them share only the journey about making money from a certain field, and solely focus on the mindset changing, or self-improvement topics.

But anyway, thanks for your reply.

Curious, which one of the 21 methods did you find was the most game changing for you?

I use these methods quite-often:

1- Put Everything on the Table
(I use this in the beginning of each month, and each year)

2- Set a Pre-planned Schedule for Each Day
(I use this almsot every day)

5- Apply Creative Procrastination
(I simply delay all Entertainment till the end of the day, and I treat them as rewards)

9- Prepare Well Before You Start

13- Push Yourself More

14- Motivate Yourself More

15- Eliminate Technological Distractions

(For this I use an extension called WasteNoTime, and I also block a lot of website in Host folder, and for my phone, I set up a downtime, and a limit time for certain apps)

16- Use Technology's Benefits
(I hate notifications, that's why I disable them all from almost all apps)
(I also developed some advanced templates in Notion to boost productivity)

18- Break Down Your Tasks into Smaller Tasks
(I use Trello for this, and Google Tasks)

Actually, I'm currently reading a book on the 80/20 rule ! :)

Read that book about 5 years ago. Might have to read this again

15- Eliminate Technological Distractions

Motivate yourself more by removing distractions around you.

Don't be a victim of smartphone addiction and remove any other distractions that might interrupt your task completion or work.

Always control the things around you, rather than letting them control you.

Give up using your phone or any type of technological entertainment for one full day each week, and you'll discover the mental and psychological clarity and calm you'll experience.

21- Commitment is the Key

Albert Hubbard defines commitment as

Success in any field requires a great deal of commitment.

Commitment and self-control are the basic building blocks of every strong, highly competent personality.

Focus on the most important work you consider valuable to you, and commit to doing it until it's 100% complete.

You'll discover afterward that your personality has become stronger than ever before.

Starting a priority task and continuing with it until it's 100% complete is the true test of your character and willpower.

The beautiful thing about commitment is that the more you commit to continuing with a major task, the more you'll love yourself and increase your self-respect and self-esteem.

Out of curiosity, I searched for motivational posts here in BHW and came across this. I'd rank #15 and #21 as the top 2 that really resonates with me.

My journey discussions is also another motivational thread I like reading here.

Started looking for post to read and ended up here, the word procrastination made me join, i have been suffering from it for a long time, i am just now getting slowly out of it , it seems its time to read another book everything you said makes sense ( and you would think that its common sense but its hard for people to go out of it ) but i believe the most important step is to "Take ACTION" it does not matter how big or small as long as you daily take it !

I recently read that procrastination is depression, a form of depression. I did not trip the wire about it because it was an ad preview. Though it gave me something to think about. Tech distractions are massive for me, it's daily work.

Take ACTION is right. Good luck.
