So I made few scripts that can scrape whatever data on search engines results like emails, phone numbers, names......
These scripts made me good amount of money when working for different clients (apprx 10). Now I'm thinking if I should start a micro Saas that implement those scripts and make all my work automatically.
The only question I have is the Saas idea worth spending my time on?

let me know your thoughts about it ?!

If it made money previously, it can make money again. You just need to make use of good marketing tactics because you're not working anymore for the old clients.

well said, it all comes down to good marketing. I'll see more into marketing techniques and hope it will work out

It's quite a saturated marketplace, but that means there's demand for the service. I think the current cheapest is serper.dev. If you can run such a service for less whilst offering a similar standard, you may be able to entice people to jump ship.

coding wise it shouldn't be as diffucult,
getting the right amount and quality of proxies is what really matters,

@goodbye tobey make your research based on the traffic channel(s) you're going to target,
all depends on the competition and the quality/price of service you can offer,

make sure to check more targetted & similar services as options as the competition can be much easier,
a good scenario would be a high demand service with no much competitors or none at all,

take your time with the research & set a good plan, that's one of the important points to focus in,
best of luck man!

thanks for the tips bro,
I have good quality proxies for now and I'll def do a research before starting the project.
have a nice day mate ^^

If you are a Developer, making a good product should not be an issue for you.

It's tough to convert free users into paying with SaaS apps, you would need to find a market gap and research your competitors.

I think most SERP scrapers are monthly subscriptions + limited credits. Maybe a one-time payment app, that lets you use your own proxies is a better deal, one that I would definitely consider personally... + API.

I think you have a good idea going but marketing it out is where a number of us devs fall short because, well, we are devs and not marketers. Know whether you can market or not. If not consider running a JV with someone who can.

well if you made money before, I don't see any reason why it won't be worth it.

yes I am a programmer but I have little knowledge when it comes to marketing and I think it's a crucial part for any Saas.

I'm thinking of building a telegram bot instead of Saas because there's less work to do (frontend and marketing) also it has a built

in payment gateway, so the user just input keyword, location, sites to scrape and other few details and the output would be an

excel or csv file, I'll have to study the market first to see if such a bot will make it.

very true, we developers focused so much on machines and forgot we're supposed to serve humans, so marketing is next on my learning journey

that's very motivating, hope it'll work out

Make a software to sell? Check the offers in the marketplace and see for yourself if you have anything new or superior to offer that's not already covered.

Yes, if you used it before and you earned a profit

Yes it will still make you money, now think of it as specific niche solution providing business. Make a frontend stating that you have a toll which help all the marketing agency to get leads and that is where you can offer your services for $1000 , the reason being one client to big agency easily pay $5000 to agency and that is where you can make money.
