My Site got hit by Fake DMCA

I have a site with 300k traffic per month. Some random person (Competitor) has sent a DMCA notice that a few pages of articles are paraphrased. Indeed it was not paraphrased, the website was related to programming and the code logic remains the same.

I can fight a legal case with the person but the issue as of now is Google has de-indexed around 20 URL's as DMCA process. Now the person intentionally has sent around 10 DMCA notices in a time line of 3 days. Today the ranking of the site has also gone down 50%.

What i saw in google blogs is if the site receives multiple copyright issues then it may impact the SEO as it's one of the ranking signals. I have already sent a counter-notification proving that its original content but i do not see any reply from google yet and the rankings are down still.

Now i am planning to move to a new domain as I do not have time to play dirty games with the competitor. Those 20 pages are the only competition i am not going to add that in the new site. I would like to know

1. will there be any impact on the rankings when I move to a new domain?
2. Since I am moving to a new domain will google still scrutinize the new domain for DMCA?
3. How long does it take usually for the rankings to come back?
4. What happens to the SEO backlinks, I have already implemented 301 redirections from old pages to new pages. Will the backlink juice gets passed to the new domain?
5. Will the authority remains the same as an old domain?

Restored only once? i didnt get you on this. The competitor is doing this every day for 2 URLs

Google will not remove your articles if they don't agree with the DMCA removal request. They take time to review these requests.

Are you sure you are not copying/paraphrasing your competitor?

No, I am not paraphrasing their content. Since the site is related to programming the code snippets will be the same and no one can call it paraphrasing

Eg - dir is a command to list all the directories in the windows.

Now the above sentence would be used in tons of websites and articles. the command and the definition will be similar. This is what the competitor is trying to do.

Has the competitor contacted you? if not then you should contact and try to sort it out,
And does the DMCA Notice have any info referring the original URL that you are copying from? it must have some point that you can represent in your counter notification.

My advice you should wait some time before moving to new domain.

I tried contacting the competitor but no response.

Yes there is info on the original url and my site url but the issue is he has not claimed as copied content. He has cleverly made it as paraphrasing.

Like I said in the other message, the definition and commands will be the same , it is like someone claiming i own the English alphabets

yeah it is going to go bad for your site traffic but you have to bear with it.

I see no such info in Google Search Console.

He has sent 10 DMCA requests in the first place, also he has mentioned his own site has published the original content.

Now google has already reviewed one of the request and got the below mail. 9 more to go, where the claims are invalid. He has just done it to rank his articles on top beacuse he is competing for the same keywords and he site was showing below mine.

I wouldn't recommend changing the domain address. I did that, and even after two months, rankings are 80% down. Google said it could take up to 6 months (even 1 year) to fully recover.

i experienced this before. Use a hosting that will not put your site down before talking to you.

The issue now is ranking is affected already. 40% of traffic is lost. Now I don't know how much time google will take to resolve all the DMCA and update the rankings back to normal. Counterclaims give 10 business days to the person to get a court order, so after that is what they restore the content.

Is there any way to report this to google?
