Don't fool yourself. Guest posts, niche edits, forum links etc. can all still be "blackhat" and be linked to PBNs. Just because you decide it's "white hat" doesn't mean it is. If it's automated, paid for, or done via a "link building service" like GetMeLinks (or similar) it's black hat and PBN links.

Google can't distinguish good (useful and informative content) from useless content. That is why they let the users do that for them. Bounce rate, conversion rate, average time on site and user behavior in general when they click on a result in the SERPs and lands on a page tells Google almost everything they need to know.
See a lot of affiliate guys got hit with this update. "Review" and affiliate sites are pretty well known for serving low quality, useless, bad E.A.T content, and those results tend to have very high bounce rates. Would be very interesting to see the bounce rate on sites that got negatively impacted by this update. I'm guessing they all have bounce rates over 40%.

It is a great SEO myth that HARO links is someone deemed "white hat". HARO links are often times (like when you use a HARO service) no different to PBN links. The sooner SEOs realize that a forbes(dot)com link can also be a bad link, the better off the industry as a whole will be.

You read it, simple. It's like reading content written by a native English speaker vs. reading content that was written in the India in a content sweat shop. Even when it is edited, it still reads like what it is: Content that wasn't really given as much attention as it should have received.
Why do sites like Brian Dean's site, SEMRush, Hubspot and such rank so well, across the board? Because they provide real valuable information written by actual humans that did research (and can reference their research) and it shows in the content. AI content is sh1t for the same reasons sweat shop content is sh1t: Because it's written to pump out as much as possible content to make as much as possible money. What do you really expect when you pay $10 for an article?

@RStar66 On one of my post I shared screenshot of how PAA Splogs got boosted in this update. I know many more PAA website which got boosted. Those are not useful content and are machine generated. Also, in my other thread here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/google-update-may-27th-how-are-the-big-boys-doing.1413093/ I went through and analysed some big SEO sites and some of them also got hit. These are all based on facts and keyword rankings as per Semrush.

Then how about you drop your facts here where we can all see it? SEMRush isn't the be all and end all, and for the most part if you pop a keyword or domain into SEMRush it will NOT show you what is actually happening in the rankings. My own sites for instance, the site below had a massive jump in rankings (PBN link affiliate competitors got pushed down and my site got pushed up), impressions and traffic based on Google Analytics and GSC. Yet, SEM rush said I'm down?
For anyone that actually has any insights (and has done real research into the Google Algo and how it works) it is pretty clear that most of what is being said here is nothing other than pure conjecture. A very small pool (compared to how many sites are actually indexed by Google) of anecdotal "evidence". Your "facts" are about as factual as a non peer reviewed paper, since you based all your evidence of third party data that is very often, not accurate at all.
The only thing about this update that seems to be clear is that content that caters to the user's needs are the sites that have gained rankings. Sites that want to take SEO shortcuts, rather than put in the work are the sites that are getting put down a few pegs.
But hey, I guess if you are allowed to guess and pretend that it's fact, then I can do the same.

While my traffic isn't anywhere near as big as yours, the graph is very similar.
I'm actually seeing positive changes but I believe it is not due to the update but rather some very high quality niche edits I published and indexed the week before.

Google can't know the bounce rate. Also high bounce rate doesn't necessarily mean the content is of bad quality.
I rather watch out for high time on page and try to cover the topic enough, so the user doesn't need to go back to the search results and go to other pages.

I like being optimistic but at the same time I'm pragmatic... so NO is my answer.
