As everybody know this update is a disaster for many till now. But, its been a disaster for many big boys too and some are not that affected. Lets see who got what.

1. SE Round Table - Down

From a Peak of 165000 and an average of around 160000 approx it is not at around 120000. A drop of around 20-25% in traffic.

2. Search Engine Land - Down

From an Average traffic of around 1.75 Million down to around 1.45 Million or approx 17%. Loss of 300000 traffic Per month.

So if your site is hit, take heart that you are in company with some big boys.

PS: I know that these tools don't provide accurate information regarding exact traffic a site is getting, but the overall trend is quite accurate.

Has anyone seen any big auth sites just completely tank and be removed from the serps? Still there when doing site: but lost all keywords?

If they are losing traffic, where are people going for their SEO news? I would like to see some of the rankings for the less-known blogs, but the ones that are still popular enough to have 10k minimum subscribers for newsletters. If those are picking up traffic, we might be seeing a trend towards less traffic for gorillas and more for monkeys. :D

I don't think that's gonna happen to big authorities, but tools are slow to show the damage.

This big boy is a failure. :( Although GA is pretty up but that is probably because I wrote about the update and it is skewing things.

May 2020 core update almost killed at least half of the big crypto sites. Like really big 5-10k referring domains legit big authority websites. Asos.com got hit last year I think, some of the big British newspapers as well. So at least in this regard core updates are not discriminatory lol.
