Google July 2021 Core Update Released

As you can see on the screenshot, I went up on Jun 22 and then dropped on Jul 1.

Should I worry or just wait for the algo to fully roll out?

I got rid of CF, reduced the ads of my site, removed some wp plugins and did a bit of seo and the result is my website's rank went up

guys, how fast you typically see recovery? Is it like 2 weeks of dip and then on the 15th day since update started the things improve? (assuming you do everything correctly)

I think new sites got hit harder. My traffic was steadily increasing and bam got hit by July core update. Lost more than 70% traffic.
Same thing happens with my affiliate blog

Yeah must say out of 2 sites, my big slower site got hit hard..

Its also the newest out of the two.
Im from western Europe

June 22th i went from pos. 99> to <12 on the hardest keywords - we cheered alot and were already expecting #1 coming up.. Around June 30/1st of July the newer site went from #12 for the most important keywords to #140-150

Been slowly recovering and either find them at #55 now or entirely gone

My other site which is an month older reached #1 positions for multiple big keywords.. Same kind of backlink profile/on page seo, just purely different gsi wise, hope it recovers soon

So, this might be a complete coincidence, but I'm using Rank Math as well as WP Review Pro and a few days ago I realised that the latest build if Rank Math is adding schema to each page.

The problem with this is that it was conflicting with the review schema that WP Review Pro was generating and it was removing the rating in the serps. This co-incided with the update being rolled out by Google. However, after removing the schema generated by rank math, the pages gave jumped up slightly as well as the rating reappearing for each page on my site.

This could as I said be a complete coincidence. However, there has been speculation that this update is related to tackling spam. With that in mind, the pages may have had a flag put on them by effectively having two kinds of schema attached to them.

If anything, for those using Rank math, and any review plugin, it's something to think about.

This update drives me nuts... One my most profitable money pages continues to stay low. How soon the algo will roll out? I can't wait for the things to settle and hopefully recover my positions :(

My theory is that parasites did not get hit, but linkbilding from mainly (or only) high authority sites yes..
AS A POSSIBILITY for each niche G makes an average of linkbuilding, and if you are out of this average levels you are out

Can anyone testify about this?

Has anyone noticed a bounceback yet?
One page of mine was originally at #3 and dropped to the 80s. It's now back at #3 again which is a surprise, but a welcome one.

It sounds interesting, but I believe G algorithm understands that these links can be built by your competitors to intentionally drop your rankings. In my opinion, instead of penalizing for too many backlinks, they would just index less backlinks or consider less backlinks for ranking purposes.

I had a parasite that was ranking well purely on backlinks from sub domain web 2.0s. After this June update it dropped dramatically. My understating is that G just stopped indexing (or considering for ranking) these Web 2.0s.

I am experiencing the same thing. By June, my keywords are steadily increasing. Then bam, this stupid update just wipe it out bit by bit.

I have seen shit websites ranking better.

I have a conspiracy theory about this :) It feels like Google just restored an old version (most recent stable version) of index where these 'new' websites didn't exist or had lover positions. And after the update roll out, they will return to 'real-time' indexing. And in the meantime (for 2 weeks), we are looking at some old results when your new website was young and unknown :) I have no other explanation on why old stuff doesn't fluctuate as much as the new one during the update. Just patience, things will go back to normal in a couple of days while we are approaching the end of the 2nd week of the G update.

Hope so, Ive poured a lot of money already for this project. My first white hat authority site.

I am on the health niche and I could see some competitors already got penalized heavily for having fake profiles and broken english articles. Most likely due to EAT.

And when I see that they're ranking actually improve this July. I am just thinking of doing blackhats.

Still not seeing any effect on my eCommerce store, but Google told us to keep our website optimized regularly to make our site look updated. Hurray!
