Yeah following sites in 20+ languages - movements everywhere from Spain to Japan. It seems that is sitewide update again (as the websites went up or down as whole, not just some pages).

I haven't seen anything yet.. i hope this isn't another update pushing down small publishers and boosting big corporations: (

Is everything getting tougher again? It seems to me that soon everything will be so that according to certain requests there will always be only a dozen sites at the top of Google and tons of advertising from Google Ads and that's it. All other sites will fight for the first place in search of a specific request and everything will be in vain. Maybe another five years will pass and everything will be as I predicted.

Lots of big movement changes on all sites some up some down. How is this happening every month you would think after 10 years that they would somewhat have their shit together. Google SERPs have become more volatile than my crypto. Its the dogecoin of search engines

So anyone here knows what it's targeting?

This updates destroying my site lol. keywords dropping like crazy. Maybe it will settle after a couple weeks but so far... ouch.

I lost my number one keyword to site I’ve never seen in my niche before. Checked it and it’s a 300 word article on the subject but the site it’s on is 9 years old... with 3 articles. That’s it lol.

I noticed that sites that had a boost from the June update got even more boost from this update. It is like amplifying the effect from the June update. This further confirms as one site that I had been tracking was tanked a little further after being hit from the June update.

Again, too early to say as we need 1-2 weeks for it to fully roll out. And I must point out that this is from my observation and humble opinion.

But from my experience, as long as you feel the positive effects or benefits from the initial start of the update, you're very likely to have a positive outcome after the roll out is fully done... Because it just means your site has fulfilled whatever criteria the algorithm update is looking for.

My site got boost in the june update but last week after 23rd it just tanked and the traffic dropped around 25-30%

Google: Whatever tactics you follow that is 100% great, I'll will just shuffle the Serp and you'll be positioned where you're thrown.

Be skeptical of ranking losses and manually check them before freaking out.
Manage the expectation that it might be a little more difficult to get pages indexed at the moment.
It may be a LOT more difficult if you have a javascript website that relies in rendering for SEO content.

If there is an update then manage the expectation that we will have to wait until it is over to react. You don't start the repairs while the earthquake is still happening.
What of a 50% dip in traffic but no mention of a penalty in GSC?

I meant the June first core update (the CLS first update) and this core update.

But yeah, the 23rd one is the first SPAM update. The second spam update was rolled out about a week later. And yes, some of my sites were hit too despite they are NOT SPAM. But those that first benefited from the June first CLS update had another boost again from ths July core update.
