Hello Dears,

Here to ask if I'm doing my content planning right

I have target money KW's being buying guides - example: Best Keyword for so and so
Under this buying guide- I added other topics like "Kinds of Keyword, Keyword Tricks and Tips, Keyword Maintenance/Safety etc."

But I'm not trying to rank for these KW's - I just want to rank for "Best Keyword for so and so"

Now, I plan to create topical relevance to building more authority to my "Best Keyword for so and so"

And I plan to write an article about Kinds of Keyword,
an article about Keyword Tricks and Tips,
an article about Keyword Maintenance/Safety etc
(All targeting to rank for those specific titles)

Then interlink those to my "Best Keyword for so and so"

Will this result in Keyword Cannibalization?

If so, do you mind sharing a different approach with Content Planning?

Thanks Dear,
Josh
xoxo

SEO Gods, I summon thee please help me

Quiet on the border of whether they will all rank for the same query or not.

Nevertheless you should be fine with proper internal-linking to show which ones are more important, in the end we all have played the ''best vodka cocktails for summer'' '' tips to make best summer cocktails'' ''best cocktail tools'' game at some point. Get creative, think about user's intention you can possibly point out your niche's ''tips&tricks'' and ''best of...'' in different ways.

how is the current number 1 site for you primary keyword addressing this? when not sure, the top 3 sites for the primary keywords should give you an insight on the best approach forward

Well, Keyword cannibalization may occur when you target similar types of keywords for a different post. For example, your keyword is “Best Citrus Juicer” it's a broad keyword of having 2k+ search volume. Then you will get an LSI keyword like “Best Cheap Citrus Juicer” which also has 150+ search volume. If you post two different articles for these keywords, there is a high possibility of cannibalization. So my suggestion would be, place the second keyword under an H2 Tag and also place it into the content body. It might be ranked and bring some good traffics too.
