Hello all,

I'm running ads on Facebook for a month now and I see lots of incoherence between the number of clicks and the number of visits on my site.
I know that a 50% drop is frequent, but believing my numbers, I'm converting only 10% of clicks in actual visits on my page.

I will attach some screenshot of different tools I use to track results and maybe you guys will be able to tell me what is going on.
I suspect my site to be too slow to load and people leaving before the site loads. But I have good results in Gt Metrix and already created a thread on this forum to try to get my site faster.

So what I do:
Ads on facebook: 279 clicks 02f897ff-21d0-4d1d-61b2-4f41d2b5836d.png
linking to a rebrandly url (rebrandly is like bitly): 236 clicks Rebrandly-Dashboard.png
Facebook stats on Google Analitycs: 21 visits Analytics.pngAnalytics (1).png
Total visits stats on Google Analitycs: 37 visits Analytics (2).pngAnalytics (3).png

To be noted, Facebook stats show 100% bounce rate and 0 seconds time on page.

The ads is congruent with the content of the article it links to (the same image used in the ads is used at the top of the landing page article)

This are my performance on GT Metrix: (on my first "try" on GtMetrix it was all the same but 8 seconds loading time)

Let me know what you guys think about why I have such a big difference between clicks on my ads on Facebook and visits on my article.

Best

Customize your Ads report columns, look for "outbound link clicks" and "Landing Page" Views to have a better understanding

I just did and here are the results:
Ads-Manager-Manage-Ads-Ads.png

I have no pixel on my landing page as I wanted this page to load as fast as possible and I think that adding a fb pixel helps them to control easily what page I'm sending my ads traffic to. And they might not like this particular landing page (this is why I used rebrandly by the way, ran that ad during months with an "accepted" landing, and then changed this landing to a "prohibited one")

fb's pixel is just a tiny javascript snippet, this shouldn't affect the speed of your LP... the smoothest way deploying the pixel to the a website is with GTM in my opinion.
Also bear in mind, that some people have a very crappy mobile connection. When setting up your campaign you can choose only when connected to wifi ;)

I see you've marked 2 different sources of Page Views.
best-crypto-sports-betting-sites/ could be the one comming from the Traffic Campaign, but the other has an included fbclid which is actually only added to an organic source, or did you promote a post?

Last thing I could imagine is, a Facebook crawler had caused these sessions
That wouldn't be so out of the question, as I'm surprised that you could advertise your Website for so long that obviously violates the ads polcies, anyway :D

STOP USING Rebrandly! Recently i tried to use it and i was running my ads for like 10 minutes maybe. Thanks God i noticed that offer clicks were missing and some visitors immediately started writing messages to my Facebook page that they cannot access my site at all, they were getting an empty page that says "you cannot access this link" or something like that.

Perhaps because your tracker tracks unique clicks only, while FB shows total ad clicks. It says about 2.50 clicks per person, so if you count unique clicks you have like 150 clicks. Still doesn't match your tracker, so rest could be filtered somehow.. usually this means bad connection - which country are you promoting in?

- OK for the fact it shouldn't slow my page. But I'm still a bit paranoid about the fact that adding the pixel will trigger a re-verification to see if my page follow the rules. and I don't want that.

- For sure, next time I create an ad of this type I will select user using wifi only, thank for the tip ;)

- I didn't promote any post no. Good to know I'm getting "organic" FB clicks. But the bad news is that it reduces even more my click to visit ratio //

- This has been that way during more that 1 month, so I doubt this is du to a crawler or FB are just rubbing money to their advertisers witch I doubt. My website is not violating any policies, as far as I know, what are you talking about // ^^

Are you sure that Facebook is booking rebrandly links ?
I have been using rebrandly links with my others business (for my affiliates links) and I never had any problems. I had a look to the ads "post" (I mean picture) and there are no comments complaining the page is not loading. By the way, when I myself click my ad on instagram, I reach the correct page and everything is smooth...

Can you explain us a bit more about that and maybe show us some examples of other users complaining about it. (If you already did the search obv...)

I don't believe that this is the explanation but we never know.
I agree that I have a bit less unique click than clicks but I believe that google analytics register also visits when they are from the same user. (page view versus unique page view on the last picture on my first post)

I'm promoting in USA, UK, GERMANY, AUSTRALIA
