Google releasing a large update today

OK, I know that Google is a piece of sh1t, but what the actual hell is going on? Semrush says that the keywords are rising again, I check the serps manually and see the articles are indeed rising, but the traffic is going so low that I haven't seen such a weak performance since the beginning stages of the website (more than 3 years ago). I am at a loss of words. Is anyone seeing the same bullcrap?

It's being throttled despite what Google claims.

If you look at your traffic levels carefully, you will see that it has an unusual trend where traffic levels will suddenly drop for a few hours only to then recover back up.

Like for myself, I would see the traffic levels drop down to as low as 1 person visiting my site an hour despite having 15+ users the previous hour. This is completely unnatural.

Yep. Gaining and recovering new keywords but traffic is still at its low.

noticed my organic traffic slowly improve last week towards this week suddenly drop back...

I see some improvement too, yesterday's and today's traffic is up 15% vs 7 days ago, not sure if it continues to go up... time will tell.
One thing's for sure, G people seldom admit that they were wrong or correct their mistakes. So if they fucked up it's going to take a long time to recover.

In case you guys missed it, here is an interesting thread on what's ranking today.

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/8...llion-keywords-amazon-affiliate-site.1247735/
Visit that website and take a look at their on-page SEO.
There are a few things to learn.
I can't do their link analysis as I don't have access to the paid tools. But if anyone has and has some extra time it would be interesting to see their link profile including anchor text.
The thread is not live anymore?? What is happening

Maybe it was moved to the VIP section, maybe the owner of that website has complained about getting too much attention on BHW :).

I would not be surprised if that was the case. Everything's possible. On the positive, you can still see the URL in the quoted message above, visit it, analyze it, and take it from there.

If you don't have access to the paid tools you can hire someone from Fivver for $5.00 to get a full report on what keywords they're ranking for including backlinks.
Hurry up before they remove the URL from the message above :)

still random is not like last time in a stable rate or organic traffic like daily you see your organic traffic like an example 300 at least
now is some days spike , some days down

I don't believe due to search keywords stuffs, is more due to how they place the bot put which site appear first or don't appear while people search perhaps.

I not expert in SEO this thing , in fact i give up

one thing put in a positive point of view , how Google change play around means , everyone , every site got a chance to rank up even u are master on SEO or noob on SEO don't do anything enhancement on what SEO is
still got a chance your site been rank up

... when I visit it, says its suspended.

Maybe despite all the traffic they were getting, it didn't generate enough income to pay for the hosting and bandwidth ... it's the only reason I can come up with as from what I remember there was nothing illegal. Plus being hammered by the May 2020 update did not help either.

BTY: Someone did some digging (in another thread) and found out that it was an expired/old domain for a hotel website. I guess it had worked for them for a while ... or maybe giving all the attention they were getting here and on searchengineland, they are moving their operations elsewhere.

For me, traffic comes and goes in spikes throughout the day. One moment it feels like it's back to pre may, then down again lol.

Yeah, I see the same thing, apparently this is how Google fixes things. Let's see how Reddit and social media works because organic traffic is dead.

Here's an interesting read if anyone is interested: https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/death-google-search-traffic-what-it-means-for-marketers/. It's about a year old, but very relevant to our current situation.

So guys we all know that there is a problem with google killing off small and medium sized websites and stealing our content to make themselves richer while sending us less and less traffic each year.

The question is what can we do about it?

Obviously sitting back and waiting for Google to "correct" their algorithm isn't going to work.

I know a guy that had the best articles in its niche for years and he had to go into consulting work since the website wasn't generating enough money to sustain his family. And I mean he has a website that would put articles from arstehnica or cnet to shame.
The solution is to check for alternative traffic (from social media, if you can), paid traffic or check the 'offline' job market.

That doesn't solve the problem with google stealing our content and making themselves fatter though.

today i lost rich snippets ratings on my website and ranking dropped from page 1 to page 3 any 1 experiencing the same

I don't have a solution for this and at this point, I doubt anyone does. It's up to the states, politicians and so on to make Google stop its damaging practices. For now I would be happy to stop the website from going to no organic traffic and it's incredibly hard despite adding new content every few days. It won't take long until I'm kicked out of some ad programs if this trend continues.

People have been complaining that SEO has been dead for years. You need to adapt guys.

I'm wondering if a class action lawsuit is a feasible idea.
