Welp, my last journey ended in failure.

You read about it here.

I've decided to brush myself off and test something new.

Right now I'm working on an Energy lead generation offer (solar power) for a small CPA network.

The good news is they're paying roughly $30-40 per lead.

The bad news is it's a long form (around 11 data points). So that's gonna hurt conversions.

The okay news is that I am allowed to generate the leads using FB leads.

If you're not familiar with that, then check out this link.

---------------------------------

I've already started messing around with it.

I'm around $200 in (including ad spend + misc. like ad creatives).

Generated only 1 conversion that I've been paid for... $40. So I'm $160 down. Wooohooo.

======================================

I'm also not ready to call it quits on the hardwood/carpet flooring PPCALL offer just yet.

I've built a 3 step landing page that I'm gonna try to promote this week.

I'm just waiting on a video to be produced for it, then I'll run some traffic to the new landing page I created (no more messenger ads). And retarget those that engaged but didn't convert.

Yeh Yeh !
I'm following you on this @IamNRE

The 2nd adset looks promising as the first conversion can be a "lucky conversion"...

Watching this thread :D

Best of luck! Good thing that you got 1 conversion that shows offer convert :)

Good luck. You should have longer deadlines, like a month or two instead of 1/2 weeks. These things take time.

I'm gonna shut down this campaign.

It's not gonna be profitable.

The network scrubs like a mofo.

I got 6 leads yesterday through FB ads, but on their system, only 1 of the leads was considered quality.

Fuck that shit.

Finna promote some other offer. I'll continue with the home service offer (pay per call), I'm gonna launch it today and report back on how its going in a couple of days.

Yeah, I LOVE that 1st conversion. I don't care if its a fluke or not. It's a great always a great sign.

I always tell myself, if I can get 1 conversion, I can get 2, if I can get 2, I can get 5, if I can get 5, I can get 10, if I can get 10, I can get 30, if I can get 30, I can get 50...100...1000.

But it all starts with that 1 lead. If you can't get that first lead, then f*ck that shit.

Good luck dude. Wishing you the best, don't give up

NEVER.

Thanks for the encouragement.

^^ look above, I don't give a poop if its a lucky conversion :D
Love your willpower. All the best and i will follow you closely on this!

Damn right brother, gotta be mentally strong to succeed. Gotta keep going, no matter what, just keep on pushing forward.

All the best. Hope you'll create a journey thread too :)

Nah, this is paid traffic, if you know what you're doing you can get results in 2-3 days and kill or scale the campaign. This ain't SEO where you need to wait 3 months for results :D .. you just need to throw $$ to feed the machine data.

Are you using lead gen fb type of campagin?

I was using FB lead gen. for the solar campaign.
But I killed it as the network was rejecting too many of my leads.

I'll see if I can find another network to work with. Otherwise that's that.

What is your target interest? Or you target just broad audience?

I adset had no targeting at all - just zip codes (provided by the CPA network based on the areas that the energy company catered to).

The other adset had the following targeting: Efficient energy use, Solar water heating, Solar System, Photovoltaic system, Renewable energy, Solar thermal collector, Energy conservation, Solar panel, Sustainable energy, Solar energy or Solar power

The adset with targeting performed better. Around $27 per lead VS $42 per lead.

Thanks for the quick response! If you want to decrease the price per lead, try more specific interests from Audience Insight. I worked on this market before and got many leads for cheaper price.
