Not illegal, but a blackhat method with major twists on elliot305's methods. Sold several sites and made more than 6 figures in less than a year with that.

Good job for finally getting some conversions. This journey is just amazing for everyone and specially for the new people that look to start in media buying, for youtube ads what ad placement did u use?Some bad news and some good news.
Bad news ... wasted another $500 testing youtube ads (roughly $100) and facebook ads ($400).
But the good news is, I reached out to the vendor of the CB product and told them my purchase pixel wasn't firing properly. He managed to fix that for me on their end, and I've finally started to see results (from around the 20th of March).
Youtube ads generated 0 sales from around $100 in ad spend. I can probably make it work with enough testing, but I'll focus on FB for now since I am already familiar with that platform.
I also tested a web click campaign sending traffic direct to MaxBounty offer, that didn't convert. Though clicks were coming in at $0.06 all day long..... 700+ visitors to the e-commerce page. It's an interesting offer, but I can't optimize it because I can't install FB pixel on MaxBounty offers. -_- super stupid in 2020 on their part.
I've created a new fb CBO campaign with $200/day budget... (I think I might increase it to $500/day on Tuesday if the stats are good) so that I can capture enough data for in a 7 day period to optimize everything and give me conversions. Cost per purchase is at around $15 for now, I can probably half that with time.
Although I'm currently in the red right now, the offer I'm promoting is a membership site with 60% of people renewing their monthly membership.
So if I get 10 subscribers - I get paid roughly $300/month for roughly 6-7 months before they unsubscribe.
Right now I only have 2 people that are on the rebill, but it should go up by Monday evening PST time when the people that have signed up for the 3 day trial become paying members.
All in all, things are going good.

I set up the ads just like this did:
you can skip to around 20 min. 48 seconds.
Basically I used a 15 second video (that was provided by the CB vendor) and I ran video ads on other videos related to the topic I was promoting.

Hmmm how do you do that without cloaking, if you enter one link on FB Ads and destination is a different domain even after approval, you would't last more than couple days, no?
And how do you select which people see your offer with no cloaker? tracker rules?

I like this video i'm going to watch it all. You know what's fucked up google ads won't accept my bank card for some reason but i'm going to try creating a new account to see if they are going to accept it. I can't even go to the bank because of this corona shit.. I was looking to not try in video ads because i'm 100% sure that it won't get me conversions but i'm 100% sure that suggested ads make hella money

Yes, I don't use cloak. No you won't get banned if your destination is different. Otherwise facebook would ban everyone that used bit.ly or everyone that used some type of tracking software like voluum.
Just make sure you don't promote shitty offers - then your ads won't get reported.
I use interest targeting - geo targeting to inside facebook ads manager to ensure only people living in X country see the offer.
Damn that sucks. If 1 card is blocked I think it will also be blocked on a new account, you'll need a new card. I always order my cards online or via telephone.

So no real updates.
Got banned around Tuesday before I had a chance to scale. Just got my account back today, but I don't want to go back to running traffic direct to the offer as I don't want to lose my f*cking only account.
Soooo for now, I'm going to see if I can build a list and send email follow ups and get conversions through that.

Yes, just make sure you have links in the footer to your "about us", "contact us" and "terms & condition" pages.
And of course you must be promoting a niche that isn't against their terms.
