Lets say I run a search for Alabama, it often happens that one of the questions is "what's the average salary in alabama?" then it jumps to something like "what's the average salary in new york?" and from there to something like "is donald trump from new york?" and i end up with some questions that are totally far off the topic I had searched initially.

I once ran a search for how to find a job in houston and after a few questions on work in houston, from there it jumped to "is houston sinking?" and from there to "is indonesia sinking?" and then " is thailand sinking?" and I ended up with a lot of Thailand related questions when I was searching into houston.

Any tips to avoid that?

I believe the best way to solve this will be to add a filter system in where you can set specific keywords for the software to look for as it goes through questions, so it will only click relevant questions (which will pull up more relevant questions in the list) - the downside is that if it doesn't find a match to the specific filter keywords entered when Google suggests new questions it will run out of content, but that may be best if the content starts getting too off topic - but clicking only relevant questions to scrape should help generate more relevant questions and keep things more on track. Will work on adding this as soon as I've pushed the current duplicate question update and added a few other tweaks - shouldn't be long. I appreciate your input, please keep it coming as you continue to use the software!

That would be great, as I'm never really sure how many questions to go for. If the tool could just stop by itself when it finishes scraping the available questions, that would save me a few hours of manually removing the duplicates and the irrelevant and the broken ones. By broken ones I mean, sometimes instead of giving the answer it says "answer too long" or something like that and when there's a persons name, it just gives you the name as an answer.

- Skip Duplicate Questions During the Entire Session - tracks all questions during the entire time Q&A Grabber is running, and will skip duplicate questions across multiple single and bulk scrape sessions.

I believe the focus keyword whitelist update will help keep questions on topic and if it runs out of relevant questions it should stop, which should make your life much easier. Additionally, I'm thinking about adding a minimum answer length filter, so it will skip answers less than X characters - could help with some of the short useless answers (as in the example provided). Will add that to the list, have a few updates in the works. Thanks for the feedback!

I bought Q&A Grabber lifetime a month ago and this is my honest review:

At the beginning, I had some issues related to the old version of the program.
The support I received was top notch and I got a super fast solution.

I did some bulk search with 200 results per search phrase, and Q&A Grabber pulled the relevant questions with answers.
As I used it for a money site, I rewrote the answers by hand. I also didn't used the new auto-JSON-export feature, as I added schema manually.

With the new version, the new duplicate remover makes my life easier than before, it really saves time not having to remove dups by hand.
I really appreciate the fact that the software is constantly being further developed.

I am impressed with the questions I got from Q&A Grabber. Lots of easy-to-add content for my money site and already after a few days, the first visitors came via the Google-FAQ-results to my site.
I'm looking forward how this develops.

I use my own custom tool to import and manage content, but there are a few WordPress plugins that could do the trick - I haven't tried these personally but one free one that might be a good option is "Import & Export WordPress Data to CSV" that may help speed the process up (there's a paid version of it too but not 100% sure on the differences). Another interesting one appears to be $7 one time, and it's called "WP Import Pro" (at wpimport[dot]com) - I have no affiliation with this plugin but it does look pretty good for bulk article import.

Apologies for the delay in updates, I was moving most of last week and just got situated yesterday. Have two small but useful updates for :

Version 1.34 Released​

Version 1.33: Option for second export format in one bulk scrape

- Use the new Secondary Export Format dropdown if you'd like to save two formats at once during a bulk scrape. Example: HTML and JSON so you can use the exact same Q&A data in the body of your page and JSON data in the script footer section. Leave as None to only export the one format. NOTE: If you're exporting as both HTML and JSON and have the JSON Script tag setting enabled, the software will rename the second result file to have -JSON or -HTML at the end of the phrase (so one file doesn't overwrite the other).

Version 1.34: New Setting: Minimum answer character count filter (under General Settings)

- Default is 0, which means it will scrape answers of any length. If you find a bunch of short, useless answers, you can try upping the minimum to 50 or so characters and you should get more meaningful responses. Please note this may slow down the scrape process slightly as it still takes about 1 second between clicks to pull the next set of PAA questions. If you set the number too high you won't get any results, so it's better to stay on the low side (with a minimum no higher than 100 characters in most cases).


You should be prompted to update to the newest version (1.34) next time you run the software.


Now working on the keyword whitelist next which should help keep the harvested Q&A's more on topic - will release it asap, then have a few more requests to implement.
