I've created a pretty straightforward ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain.

I want to be ready for the next bullrun when people buy everything left right and centre (remember DragonChain? DeepBrainChain? Elixir? Jibrel?).

The token is legit and I am not planning to make an exitscam.

What I currently have done:

-Logo and info on Etherscan
-Set up all kind of social media channels (twitter, reddit, etc)
-Listed on a handful of DEXes
-Listed on several Cointracking websites (CoinGecko, etc)
-Put some buy and sell orders on the different exchanges
-Some videos and articles about the coin here and there (written by others), but not by any famous websites

Not yet:

-Significant volume 'wash trades'.
-CoinMarketCap listing (need one more exchange I think).

If anybody is able to provide any help, suggestions or feedback, please feel welcome. Any tips on what a good next step is?

Thanks

Buy a press release maybe? it can be a good 'proof' though. BHW marketplace have many services for that :D

Hey, I also launched a project last year on ethereum (which failed miserably). However, there are few important things for you, things which I learned the hard way.

1. You need to conduct an airdrop in order to build a community. However, make sure that its not too easy to cheat. This is basically the reason why my project failed. There were some participants who managed to claim airdrop rewards from hundreds of different accounts. As soon as the token got listed on Idex exchange, they unloaded their bags.

2. Do not distribute the airdrop rewards before getting listed. Infact, distribute 2 months after you get listed.

3. If you don't have thousands of dollars to pay for listing, Idex is your best bet. However, they won't list your token unless you manage to prove that it has some sort of usability.

4. Here's the listing fees of some exchange:

- Idex = Free
- Altilly = 0.05 btc
- Crex24 = 0.4 - 0.5 btc
- Livecoin = 2.5 Btc
- Stex = 2.5 Btc
- Mercatox = 3 btc
- Kucoin = 12-15 btc
- Hotbit = 12 btc
- Bancor = 100K usd in bancor token
- Coinex = 15 btc

If it's a shitcoin, try getting listed on Altilly, crex24 and livecoin :p

[Edit] forgot to mention. Don't try to create fake volume because the exchanges will get 0.15-0.2% of your tokens on each trade. At some point, you'll lose control over your own token because a large chunk would be owned by the exchange.

This is all bullocks.

we got enough shitcoins already!
You judge, while you don't know anything about the project. That is quite impressive man!

Thanks! Very useful insights.

Where is the project site, whitepaper, and the team of developers?

Anybody can create ERC20 token on Ethereum blockchain these days.

That is absolutely true. Anybody can create a whitepaper and get a team of developers nowadays as well. The point is, you judged before you had any information.

Fair enough. Thanks for the feedback!

Where is the information then?

As I asked before, where is the project site? Where is the whitepaper? Who are the developers?

I want to know whether the project is legit or a very big SCAM!

Lol, why don't you calm down. Do you ever get anything done with that attitude? I don't need to defend the project, so if you want to call a project a scam, while you don't know anything about it... not even the name... or the usecase... or the technical details..... or the tokenomics.... Well, eh, be my guest buddy. Scream a little louder for the people in the back.

I'm also working on a project for the last 10 months ;) a platform similar to quora but on blockchain and it will be fully self-funded.
Just a suggestion for you. Launching with a beta phase is the way to go these days. ICO days are long gone :)

Saw it in your post history. That is actually a nice idea!
Not considering an ICO indeed. I never participated in any but 99% of them ended up being scams, so the whole process has a bad name.

So now you know what I'm talking about. Lots of new crypto projects are becoming SCAMs these days that is why we need to fight against them. I lost some fortune way back during the ICO era in 2018 which I don't even want to take about. I hope your project is legit since you are not sharing anything about it.

He really cannot share much about it without paying for advertising so you cannot hold that against him I don't think + we have had to edit and delete a couple of posts in here from him and responses to his posts as he was promoting already.

It is a complicated matter. People have been calling ETH a scam since its inception. And even today there are still people calling it a scam. Which seems a bit far fetched to me. But then if you look into the history of ETH and the DAO disaster and the subsequent forking of ETH from ETC, well... people might be upset about that.
Then look at CoinMarketCap, Tron and BitcoinSV are both in the top 15!
There are some good arguments to be made against these coins, aren't there.

I am sorry you got scammed out of your money, but I guess a lot of us were at a certain point. I never participated in any ICO's but I've bought in way too high in a lot of shitcoins. The ones that come to mind: DBC, DRGN, Jibrel, Elixir and SpankChain :p

You win some, you lose some. I've also NOT lost a lot of money because of critical people pointing out red flags of projects (Verge). So, I applaud critical people. But calling something a scam without literally knowing anything... well you are free to do so, but I don't think it is classy nor constructive.

Just my 2 cents.

Centralized Exchanges ask a listing fee between 2 and 5 BTC and some really unknown ones ask 0.5 BTC.
I guess this is the only logical next step now.
