For how much you sold your account.

Are you using the only AdSense or going to apply any other affiliate programs like Amazon, Clickbank or Commission Junction?

Thank you! On Sunday I will update this journey and write about current tasks and problems. Maybe you could already help me at this point. Sadly I'm not allowed to say the amount I got for the account. But it was a good 5figure.

Currently, I'm just using Adsense and sometimes I add an amazon affiliate link in my articles. But just got 3 sales with them (3,45$).

I never thought about the targeting. Currently, I got 50% US viewers and then the UK - Germany - Canada. I'm very happy with that.

I want to scale my new (first) website (blog) to 1000$ a month with Adsense & maybe amazon affiliate.

My Background:

I've never done a website/Seo/AdSense before, so I'm a complete beginner. Since 3 years I'm totally into Social Media (Instagram). I have built several Accounts to 1M+ Followers. This year I sold my biggest IG Account (2.2M Followers) to a huge Puphlising company. Now I still have my 1.4Million backup account, which could be helpful in this journey.
On my "day job" I consult companies in social media and manage one of them.

My Goals:

  • 1k/month "nearly passive" income from the website (build an asset)
  • learn a lot in Seo and UX
  • get to know this community and network

What I have done:

  • My website is live for 8 months (had a nearly 5-month break to work on other projects)
  • I had 24.034 Visitors and 33.003 Pageviews in July and earned 119€ with Adsense
  • 99% of the traffic comes from Social Media (85% Pinterest)
  • Built a Pinterest Page for this Website (66k Followers - 2M impressions per day)


I will probably update this journey every Sunday with a weekly recap and with new goals for the next week. I hope I can learn a lot from you and I'm very excited to start this journey with you.

I've never done any type of Instgram stuff before. How long did it take to build 2.2 million followers?

It took me about 1 1/2 year. Completly white hat without any automation or bots.

I didn't monetize it. I wanted to grow it as big as possible and then turn it into a brand. Monetizing in the first steps would maybe stop the growth. Then the buyer contacted me and I took the quick exit since the niche was not my passion and I wanted to focus on other projects.
 
Following this journey. Great stats and I would love to know a tip or two about growing insta and pinterest accounts. Why don't you try using fb or twitter?

As I said I will update this journey every Sunday, so here is the first-week recap:

Stats:

  • 13.211 Pageviews (via WP Stats)
  • 7,721 Visitors (via WP Stats)
  • 1,71 Views per Visitor (via WP Stats)
  • 40,89$ Adsense Revenue (Via Google Analytics)

Traffic sources: 7231 Social + 83 Search engines + direct views


Problems:
  • Low Search engine Traffic
  • Only 0,12$ CPC with Google Adsense
  • Only 1 article published
  • Domain Authority is super low (no knowledge on how to increase it)
  • Page Speed is bad (depends on current traffic)

Goals for next week:
  • work on the page for at least 1hour a day
  • get basic knowledge in SEO
  • hit 15k Pageviews
  • optimize articles and add affiliate links
  • add 2 articles
