How many maximum tags I can use in my WordPress website, because I read somewhere that, the max is 12, what's your opinion?

I use tags for 2 or 3 related long tails. Don't use them to keyword stuff, though.

I try to use tags that can be used on other articles, so you dont have tag pages with just 1 article. I think that's a good method so you're just not tagging for the sake of tagging or keyword stuffing. Actually make it so that your tag archive pages are populated.
