wonderful experiment and a great result. The aim of traffic is conversion. What is the result of your effort so far?

Well, i've said it once before in this thread that i've not monetized it till date. But i've had jetpack installed and that shows me the outbound clicks.

In each month, i'm getting 300-500 clicks per month. Considering a 6-8% conversion rate, it could earn around $300-$500 at this stage. And it's just from the affiliate. planning to monetize it with CB and T-shirts/Soft products as well.

which tools you use for keyword research?

For brainstorming, i used Answer The Public and Keyword Everywhere at first place. But let me tell you buddy, that's just 5% of the process. It takes a hectic week of research to find just 10-15 great keywords to work on.

I’d just like to clarify a few things myself and make sure I understand correctly

14 articles. Each with 3-10 grouped keywords at ~2000+ per so as to rank for all of them at once.

I’m certain it depends on your KW research and understanding skill but you find that as effective as focusing each article on one keyword at a time?
I’d think KW density and other things come into factor. It certainly takes a talented writer and I don’t think such a thing could be outsourced effectively.

Haha..that was a good question. Well, I'm not up to gardening, and never had been. I just found it as a great niche and went deep down into it. Eventually, I've got more than 100 keywords to work on at 1st tier. And I'm with JUST 14 of them so far.

Well, it's actually an in-depth. Whenever I plan to write on a certain topic, I try to keep myself into the user's shoe. And gather as much real-time data as possible, mostly from forums, articles, videos and of course brainstorming.

Yeah, definitely.

You see, Google is meant to provide a good article to 10-12 closely/synonymously relevant keywords with similar search intents. So why miss the chance and stick to one?

And yeah, KW density is not a factor. But placement is. In case of outsourcing such articles from an even a professional, you need to provide super-strict instructions and make sure that the writer is an niche-expert.

The problem is, I'm still not out of that sandbox, or whatever it is. My articles are jumping all over the place, one day it's the second page of google, and the other 300+...

It has been over 3 months since I started the website and wondering if this is ever going to stop... i'm even considering building some links (though I started this project with the intention of not building any links at all).

In my case, it was all over within the first couple of months. But one hack I may suggest you to do is- social shares. Make sure you have ample social traffic from FB, Reddit, Pinterest, and Tweeter. This works magically to stop those dancing you're talking about.

Regarding "placement", this means metadata?
Should there be a hierarchy of importance for the 3-10 keywords I decide to target? Should the most important kw be placed as heading 1?
What variable determines writing a post with 3 keywords vs one with 10?
