I use AnswerThePublic most of the time and sort out keywords with Keyword Everywhere. Keyword suggestions(on SERP) by Keyword Everywhere also helped me.

Note: ATP also has limits. I use VPNs to use the daily free limit over and over. :)

Well, I don't trust difficulty scores by any keyword tools. Not even the search volumes.

Although it's the safest to start with fresh domains, specially when you've long-term goals in mind.

But if I could find expired domains with good referral sites, good rank history, and no spammy contents, I don't mind working with expired ones as well. But you know, it's hard to find niche-relevant, good quality expired domains. Lucky you if you find one. :)

And by brandable, I mean niche-relevant, easy-to-remember, and short URLs.

Hey Rank Wizard, do you have a guide somewhere or can you point me to a guide on how to build up a database with 2000+ keywords? In my niche, I used the tools you mentioned like Google Analytics, Answer the Public and Keyword Shitter but only a fraction of the results were useful towards my niche. And I have been going at it for about 4 hours.

Keyword Shitter was quite useless (not sure if I am using it wrongly) but basically I inputted keyword 1 on row 1 and keyword 2 on row 2 and let it run for half an hour. Most of the shitted out by the website were not useful.

The site is doing significantly well. So far, i've managed time to publish and optimize only 14 contents in total. And monthly traffic seems to cross 4k+ this month. In Feb'19, it was 2500.

Well, the only insight i'd like to share is, there nothing like a combo of 'Great Keyword Research' and 'Great Content'.

Here are some quick hacks-

1. Try picking up keywords based on reader's persona, not based on Search volume.
2. On the basement of a set of relevant keywords, create a content that provides a 360-degree solution for the reader.
3. Optimize naturally with no aggressive attempts.
4. Make sure to put clickbaits on the title(for CTR), and good layout in contents(for Dwell time).
5. Keep posting a few contents around evrery micro-topic. That will create a good topical authoritativeness. And Google loves it.

I've not attempted any link building so far. As I've told in the post, I've worked around super low competitive keywords. By definition, they don't need any backlinks to rank. Good quality, lengthy and well-formated contents are the game changer.

1. Well when you're playing within the low competitive zone, keyword search volumes(generated by KW tools) often lie. I've got a number of posts which are getting several hundred traffic each, but the KW tools show that the targeted keywords have 0 MSV.
2. Instead of 1 KW:1 Article plan, I prefer choosing 3-10 closely relevant keywords, and build a post around them. Each of these keywords may have different search intentions. But as they are closely related, I get to answer them all in a 2000 words post. And finally, the post is expected to rank for each of these keywords.

To be frank, I've not started monetizing the site yet. Have a plan to post 10 more articles, and monetize afterward.

But I've jetpack installed. So, i can see how much clicks I'm getting on my affiliate product links. In average, it's 300+ clicks per month. Considering a 6-8% conversion rate, it could earn around $300-$500 at this stage. And it's just from the affiliate.

Haha..that was a good question. Well, I'm not up to gardening, and never had been. I just found it as a great niche and went deep down into it. Eventually, I've got more than 100 keywords to work on at 1st tier. And I'm with JUST 14 of them so far.
