Need advice to open a store.

Hello,

I am planning to start a Shopify store with a service as my product and also planning for dropshipping.
For service related store, should I go for Shopify or just wordpress + woocommerce is fine?

I am confused about the ads expenditure. I want to know that, should I start investing on ads right after starting the store or should I let it freerun for few days/weeks, if yes, then how long should I wait till I start investing on ads.

What type of ads are the best?
Does it depend on niche or is there any type of ad that's universal and can be applied to any niche.
Should I go for Facebook ads or AdWords or any other?

Any help or even a redirection to other threads with tutorials is appreciated.

I saw some people in an ecommerce facebook group complain that their sales dropped more than 50% immediately after they switched from Shopify to Woocommerce, without changing the ad content or audience. One of them commented that Shopify integreates well with Facebook.

shopify will be good.
you can start advertising right after your shop is up with the products, i dont think you will have to wait for days after starting store.
you need try various ads facebook ,instagram shoutout ,adwords in your niche only. you can start with facebook ads first,

And that's why you should never put all eggs in the same basket, you cannot go wrong if you do things well. It's not about FB ads or adwords, wordpress or shopify.
I'd suggest you to try to recreate your store in both shopify and wordpress, run some tests on both and see what you like more, see what you feel more comfortable working with, what suits you and your budget better...

shopify has a better user experience. the checkout is much more sleek than any woocommerce site i've seen.
most ppl start buying shoutouts to get data for their FB pixel then move to FB ads. some go straight to FB ads
who cares about niche. first one will probably fail anyway. u will typically have to jump few niches until you hit good success starting off
