Hi,

What are some of the things that will get your account banned from Instagram?

I'm a business owner and would not want my business instagram to be shut down - it's my brand identity. Is there certain things you must not do on your account? What are the appropriate instagram behavior and risks? How to grow quality following fast without getting banned?

The goal is to grow my following fast and have followers go to my landing page and sign up so that I can do email marketing to them later once my full service eCommerce site launches. What are some of the strategies to do this?

There is a guide called Ascend Viral on the marketplace that is probably worth the money and the read. I bought one myself for future reading.

At least I know that with the recent changes on IG, automation is going to be really difficult and using such services may get you banned.

Great! I'll check out the Ascend Viral guide. Maybe I should get IG accounts that are in the same niche but not related to my brand and use automation on them, along with landing pages that aren't related to by brand but offer similar service type? (Just want to be very cautious and avoid anything negative related to my brand) Any ideas help. Thanks guys.

The "do not do list is longer than War and Peace by now, in essence don't do anything, which is not possible manually by an every day user. Other than this there are no shortcuts, i'm afraid, for the latest tips and best practices browse this section and the journey section. Don't put everything on one account, especially if you want to grow fast, you'll make mistakes, which can cost you your acccount. Trial and error.

Know this first and foremost. Your account is different from all other accounts, even if you create an account to be a sister site of the one you currently own. It's like twins. They are the same, but two different people all at once. Or, like Confusious says "what works for me, won't evidently work for you".

Now, on to the easy stuff:
1. Don't buy fake followers
2. Don't buy fake likes/comments
3. Engage
4. Post high quality, visually attractive images/videos
5. Post constantly
6. Spread the word, outside of Instagram, that you have an Instagram account, and give them the name, and ask to be followed.
7. Rinse and repeat all of the above.

Or, hire a local professional social media manager. Now, if your brand is based on merchandise and/or services, consider hiring a social media manager that is also an influencer manager. Make sure they are local to your city, as you will need to local push, before spreading your wings, unless you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend in marketing. Then, and only then, should you go with a nation-wide social media/influencer manager. These latter ones are not cheap, but they get the job done. Or spend, 1-2 years learning all by yourself, and hope you don't make mistakes that will reel you back 1-2 years to start all over again. Remember, time is money. Spend it well.

If you are using a real account, from your home location, then getting banned is very very unlikely.

But generally.
Don't over do things
Don't do things too fast

The above two will cause blocks, not bans.

Don't spam / annoy users (comments / DMs). This can be very annoyiing for users of the ISG service and that is what ISG wants to protect

You can also consider reading the Instagram TOS and just follow that? Lol just saying.

My brand instagram I want to keep legit and not mess around with things that may get me banned. It's my brand name and I wouldn't want to jeopardize my reputation. I'm exploring ideas of having proxy accounts also, that will help me get email sing ups but not related to my brand image. Once again thanks for all the help and I'm look forward for more comments.

Probably not a good idea to use one of the instagram services that promise you the world. Who knows who they get you followers? Goal is to maintain brand image.

once you are better you will learn how to do blackhat stuff without getting your main banned.
