Overnight Rankings Drop?

Hello,

So i've got my site which was ranking heavily on pos 1 for may keywords when all of a sudden half of the keywords vanished from pos 1 to no where.

Its been like 2 weeks now since the drop, the keywords which lost rankings haven't yet showed up again in top 100.

On the other hand other half of the keywords are still ranking on pos 1. NO penalty's nothing.

I am just wondering what just happened overnight that my half of the keywords have lost rankings.

I have multiple pages with no duplicate content. Excellent Website structure and professional wordpress theme.

site structure is like

example.com/page1
example.com/page2

Hmm like i said. Half of the keywords are still no.1 positions but other half are gone. Are you sure its backlinks issue?

Well it's always impossible to say without analysing a site. If nothing on the site has changed then maybe an algorithm update as screwed certain pages. Dropping out of Google altogether for a keyword usually means certain links with those target anchors have been penalised.

Say i have 6 keywords for example.com/page

Out of this 3 are still ranking and other 3 are gone from pos 1 to nowhere, its like 2 weeks now. If there is something then all of the keywords needs to disappear but that is not the case.

May be the backlinks issue. Check the backlinks of the website which are ranking on first page. If your backlinks are better than theirs, then it must be a penalty issue.
