In my original post I already went over this, but yes you can accept and receive payments from customers and receive payment from Shopify with no problems.

i think shopify made deals with partners...like experts, marketers... to promote their platfrom... in exchange they will get shopify for free without mounthly subscription.
btw...what plans did you use?

Exploits like this should definitely be kept behind the paywall.
Look what happened to the free Ahrefs loophole... Just 2 months after someone posted the method in the normal section, they closed it up and now it's pay to play on ANY level!

It has been an ongoing method for months now, I don't see it stopping anytime soon. But as with all things, make sure and take advantage while you can!

this was very timely for me as i was about to launch 30+ stores for my customers. Thanks OP for the great find. How will i make money with this if i am developing whole store and then passing it over to them? sort of affiliate type stuff or there are other steps required?

They recommend:
After you've transferred a store to your client, you can also send them the Merchant Handoff Kit. Make sure to provide them with with information about:
- How they can access the store, including the URL (client-store.myshopify.com/admin)
- The Shopify Plan that you recommend for them
- Anything else that you would recommend (such as apps to download, webinars to watch, or other resources to help them build their business)

@imustbebored thanks for the detailed answer. the 20% that they share with us, will that include the total payment paid to shopify, like monthly fees + % of transaction fee that they charge, in my case % of transaction will be bigger amount.

Shopify has this feature available for its partners (agencies) who build websites for clients on the Shopify platform. Leading to more stores on the Shopify platform.
While this may seem like an AMAZING discovery, it’s really not. There are a few key limitations that are huge drawbacks but the primary drawback is that you can’t add a custom domain until you pick a plan.
Why’s this important? Well if you can’t figure that out, do you really deserve a Shopify store?
So long story short, it’s never getting patched so there’s no need for it to be JR VIP only.
