SEO has completely changed now! What really works in 2018?

Did you tried everything you mention or just an assumption??

Fantastic stuff man. I recently ranked a bunch of client domains just with web 2.0s and press releases. Web 2.0s are handmade with 300 words content each. IMO web 2.0s are the most cost effective form of backlinks.

Nice tips, what you forgot to add is social signals though, these really help if you keep building social signals on all the top social media platforms, even g+ is quite good but not really used by many.

What about the content?? Its unique and 100% quality articles...or just spun content, Also you used for expired web 2.0 or new web 2.0 links?

what works and what it doesnt very much depends of your niche. nothing is 100% standardized like in early 2000s. links in the footer are not advisable but...some massive media companies have their partners "in the footer". are they a pbn? should they be penalised? :)

also, what doesnt work in a search engine like google.com can probably work in google.com.MT because one is more developed than the other. google has engineer teams in different niches were some are more complex than others. i.e. gambling and pharma industries vs others that involve less money/competition and that even directory submissions still work...

you must test im afraid. it is an algorythm fellas so by tweaking and testing different variables of a single tactic might actually work.

now with pbns...the more google pushes a thought, the weaker the algorythm is regarding that thought.

i always use the nofollow story. when it was made public that nofollow links no longer worked i did some testing and immediately validated the load of horseshit people were sayng. (some ppl were some sure about it they could have sold their mothers). nofollows were created because of spamming blogs via comments but seeing that the web % of linsk without the nofollow tag is over 90% my question is. what do you think it has more value to the algo: a link being nofollow? or a link being placed in the section of the comments?

always think about the florida update (2003) where google was sued for millions due to their major algo update. they need to be certain and find multiple variables for a tactic to be deemed as "blackhat" and ignored by the algo, let alone be removed from the index...

test. use the community. be nice. be smart. validate your own game.

Forget SEO, drive traffic to your website from Quora. Answer questions related to your website niche and leave link to your website at bottom.

4) PBNs !!! - Google has confirmed now when a domain drops now Google will hard reset its Link profile! That means whoever will register an expired domain he will get a fresh domain! Yes, this information is also confirmed and personally tested! That domain will not pass any Link juice to your money site!.

1. Stop spreading BS, Google never confirmed anything.
2. Expired domains still works like a fucking charm, it still has its links juice expiring or not.

20 to 100 TF CF

Lol and this is my favorite, 20-100TF? Are you serious?

Backlinks might not add any value anymore to SERP if what you say is true but it will still generate leads.

IMO SERP is becoming less important if you got the SM game down, agree?

Exactly...why would anyone ever do SEO? You guys need to totally forget all SEO and put all your eggs into Qoura's basket.. In fact, I have no idea why we even have 20K threads about SEO. Mods, please delete all SEO sections.. Thank you.

Um, you linked to this same thread :)

What a load of shit. :) That "confirmation" is over a year old now and guess what. Those domains still work perfectly fine. There's no link reset. And please for sake of all that's dear to you, do not "work on your PBN authority" by blasting GSA/RankerX links there.

Also, SEO has not changed much in years. What works now has always worked. The main thing that has changed is that the "SEO sweetspot" is now smaller. Meaning that people who love to cut corners and always go with the cheapest solutions are not able to rank. That combined with overaly higher competition in most of the niches makes SEO unapproachable to people with small budgets or people who are only starting out. That is also one of the reasons why BHW has changed into a ghost town in the past year. People are slowly giving up on SEO.

I see this "expired domains don't work the way they used to" thing quite a bit lately, countered by people saying "they work as well as they always have". I'm wondering if this has to do with how people set up and treat their PBN sites. Like maybe, for example, if you just make a one page PBN site that doesn't topically match the original site or the linking sites, just 301 all backlinks to homepage, and post your moneysite link immediately, then you get crap results. (This is just my theory.)

@Nargil Can you provide any insight on how to best treat an expired domain? I know you've mentioned it's best to let the PBN site age for a couple of months before posting your link. What about all the backlinks to inner pages? I feel that simply "301-ing all 404's to homepage" is the approach most likely to lose juice.

What I've been doing on some of my PBN sites is restoring the inner page URLs, but using my own content that topically matches whatever the original site had there. The idea is that this way Google has less reason to consider the existing backlinks irrelevant and devalue them. I don't like the idea of restoring stuff from Wayback because I don't want copyright issues or duplicate content issues if the previous owner moved their content elsewhere.

I don't know if this is a good approach and it's too early to talk about results. Any comments would be highly appreciated.

I believe 100%...

After 2 weeks got ranked for the main keyword on the first page! Just with relevant comment backlinks!
Referring Domains were: 145 - 150.
No. Of Total Links: 1.1K
No. of NoFollow Links: 4% - 6%
- Muzamil Hameed
For what keyword, with what competition, in what niche? Gee that'd be relevant for me to rank this post's accuracy...

Not to be a dick, but I prefer to be critical of info I read on the internet.

You have pretty much the same approach as I do. I try to avoid the redirects unless the backlinks are all over the inner pages (massively). Recreating URLs with my own content or just leaving them as "content not found" is surely a better option. I also never recreate the content of the previous sites, as I believe that the perfect niche relevancy between PBN and money site is a must when it comes to content. I also believe people underestimate the power of the content when it comes to sheer size and of course, onsite SEO. 3 - 5 articles on your PBN will not cut it. Shitty full homepage articles won't cut it either. 1 OBL link to your money site as well. No interlinking? That's the least you can do for your PBN. There's dozens of really simple mistakes that people do here.

Why they do these mistakes... looking for quick results, lack of patience etc. And most of all, they are not treating their PBNs as assets. Scraped domains... alright, you can treat those however you want, but if you own expensive auction domains, then fuckin hell, at least try to treat them with a bit of respect and they will reward you for that.

However I admit that few of my clients had non existent results even with auction domains (RD200+, clean and all), where I simply could not determine the reason why they haven't moved a spot. The best we can do is to eliminate as many factors that prevent PBNs from working correctly. And rest... well, we have to hope for the best. Let's not be mistaken here, there's a huge damn chunk of luck involved with SEO. But the more you try, the bigger your chance of getting a nice ROI. Just keep throwing shit against the wall and something will eventually stick. But try to improve your shit throwing technique in the meantime. :)

He probably meant to say, update the site.
Or may be home "page". ;)
