Hello, I'm working in mobile niche for about 3 years, most of my work is dating apps in Google Play. In past I got lot of app deleted for updates not approved. Most for nudity, Google Play not allowed nudity that's it I know it, so now I don`t make same mistakes, all user photos is hand checked. Problem that I never had real nudity in apps and websites. because for Google nudity can be anything, girl in bikini, or girl in night club with some sexy dress. Funniest thing that Google Play have mature rating, all dating apps goes to pegi 18, social can be parent guided, this means kids can use them if parents allowed them, but we know perfectly that there is no parent guided, people just buys smartphones to kids and that's it.

Let me explain not much about ratings.

Pegi 18 - That means that you app is listed in adult section if parents buy phone and changes settings, your app will not gonna be visible in market for that phone.

Parent Guided - This is accepted to all auditory.

Pegi 3 - Made for kids.


This is Google policy of nudity.

We don’t allow apps that contain or promote sexually explicit content, such as pornography. In general, we don’t allow content or services intended to be sexually gratifying.

Then I started to see apps like Instagram, Twitter, yes I know they are big they made brands, but they are full of nudity.

They have nice family safe screens but inside you can see loads of like this pages and accounts. and all content that it is in website is same in app.

After that when you buy phone you have this all apps inside, you even don`t have option to delete them, you can only disable, this really boosts they installs...

So maybe someone can explain my this, why they don`t need to follow Google Play rules, lol Google even forces people to use that apps, but small developers needs to follow? I heart that there is some vip accounts in adsense, maybe it is same in Google Play? But at the end I think everybody needs to follow rules. What is your thoughts on this?

Yes I understand what you saying, but twitter and instagram not belongs to Google. They are other companies, I understand that they are paying huge money to Google, everybody is happy, but then I`m right Google just supports monopoly, this means that some day we will see family safe pornhub in Google Play.

And? We can debate about monopolies for fun all day long but in the end, the practical question is "how do I position myself in the best way with what's out there". I understand your frustration and it's good to vent, just make sure not to miss the important thing.

No I`am not frustrated as one person I'm very happy, I made one app 1 400 000+ downloads and some other hit more than half million. But as developer I'm interested in this things and Google day by day is making new policy updates, day by day it is harder to rank new apps. I understand that Google have to many apps those days it is like in SEO, 2000 years it who's easier to rank website than now in 2017. But when I see apps that is promoted in all sorts of places, you buy phone you have that app, you are forced to have it, you go in editors choice, you see that app. But when you check that app you see as developer it is not complaint to Google policy...

Getting a fine means "you broke some law". Nothing to do with fairness - the latter is subjective, what I see as fair you may see as unfair etc.

If I create an app called "Dick Pic" app for sending dick pics then it will obviously be non compliant with app store rules and be banned.
If I create an app called "Kitty Pic" app for sending cat pics but a small percentage of users use it for sending Dick Pics then it probably won't be banned from the app store.
Neither Twitter or Instagram are focused primarily on porn but a small number of users may use it for those reasons.
Yes Google is a Monopoly (IMO) and yes the smaller guy will get shafted harder than the bigger guys but that is what we work with, and the fun is in finding the exploits to get the cash flowing.

Yes I understand this, but I posted here proof that 2 apps don`t care about Google rules, or they will be deleted from Google if somebody will report them? Answer is NO. So there comes another question, why? I don't think that Google don`t see that they have porn inside. There is big staff that working in Google, they get real big money for work like this.

As I said, fairness is subjective. For example, in your quote above: in other words, they tried to advertise their own services inside their own service and they are not allowed to do so. The first part seems fair to me and the second as blatant injustice. See?
