So its been nearly a week of running this specific sweepstakes offer from MB. Had one conversion during testing phase and nothjbg since then. Here are a few stats.

Offer Payout = $1.60
Geo = Tier 1, wont give anymore than that.
Traffic source = BING
Landing Page = So for thelanding page i decided not to go for the old one page setup as i dont feel it would work with this specific offer. Instead i built a mini site around the niche and the landing page made it look as legit as possible. Trust seals, timers, "as featured on" quotes, even added and employee section to the site then added tones of relevant content all copied from news sites. I tweeked the content ofcourse to suite my site but thats the general flow of the site.

Now ive gt 7 variations of the landing page that rotate each time a new visitor comes to the site. So far it turns out the landing page with no timer or any bright colorful text converts the most, but it seems that once the users land on offer page they ate not converting.

So with BING ive spent $46 and only one conversion so far. Average postion for both my ad cipies is 2.55 which i think aint to bad. Im doing a $100 a day budget and bidding $0.99 for each Ad group and for the keywords i was bidding $0.30. I will admit i dont know jack about PPC and am learning as i go along. Ive gt 8 ad copies for testing purposes. Ive add targeting broad keywords and the same ads targeting phrase and exact. Ive also got ad image extentensions and site link extensions, basicaly i am using as much of the tools on offer for the campaign.

Ive gt to the end of testing i feel, ive read some say you aint done testing till youve spent $100-$150, some say your done testing when youve gt the data you need.

What do you guys think ? How can i take this shity campaign to next level. Is BING okay for sweepstakes offers ? Should i go for a cheaper traffic source ? Should i scrap the offer ?
ThisCPA shit is demoralising lol...

I've never used bing traffic so can't give best feedback. However, it probably wouldn't be my first choice for a sweepstakes offer. You're already on the right path don't stop now. It's great you are doing LP rotation that's 100x more than most Aff's can say. Have you checked out doing the same but with some social traffic? Specifically FB or IG

Hey thanks for the speedy reply, I didnt expect anyone to reply for at least a day lol. So no i have not tried FB due to the learning curve being much more steep in terms of PPC and my minimal testing budget of $100 would not last a day. I have not tried any of the other social platforms or Youtube. Just BING for the moment. I guess i am following the old "Mast your traffic source" theory before going to another traffic source. I see you said you would not choose BING for that kind of offer, any sources you could suggest @BusinessSmack

Your issue is, in part, your offer.

Don't advertise using a 1.60 email/zip submit... you need to choose something that will get you a return.

I'm not running any campaigns these days but when I ran ads on Bing I was promoting something that got me a 50.00 return.

You are at the wrong end of the spectrum there.

Hope, Bing ads itself works good for your campaign.

You said you are not running any campaigns these days - may I ask what are you promoting these days? I know its a direct question, so you may not answer that. :)

I've got some other things going on that is keeping me from having the time or energy to do any additional marketing.

I do know that the OP is marketing something that has a very slim chance to be profitable in that all he will get is 1.60 for a success fee.

Right... So as a newb i read a shit tone of people saying dont promote an offer with a high payout, as it is harder to get users to give up thier money. They allsay start small and go for SOI, or DOI if you feel you can get conversions.

So i ofcourse ignored that and promoted a campaign health campaign with a $50 payout. I used BING, but i direct linked as i felt the vendors landing page was good enough. Didnt get a single conversions, i spent 50$ in ad revenue then gave up and moved on email submits.

What do you suggest @BassTrackerBoats, i know you not doing CPA these days but you gt any advice going foward after looking at the stats or anyone else gt any advice ?

Change offer ?
Keep going untill my eyes bleed ?
Go work at Macdonalds ?

I'm doing CPA these days, I'm just not running any advertising campaigns.

I would never direct link to the offer either... Ad ---> Landing page ----> Offer.

You need to presell the offer before sending them to the offer to get the best conversion percentages.

I'd go back to an offer that pays out decently and use a landing page and would be looking at trials that require a credit card.

30 cent CPC for a $1.60 payout...Then each 5th click must convert to keep ratio in no loss.
You are doing it wrong. find and Dating SOI campaign and test.

BassTracker is correct

  • 22% more was spent online with Bing than on average internet searches
  • One third of the Bing Ads audience has a household income of $100,000 or more
  • Bing captured 56 million retail searchers not reached by Google
  • Bing searchers are for the most part 35+ in age and commonly within the 55-64 age bracket
  • Bing searchers are more likely to have children, based on their age
  • Users of Bing are generally less tech savvy
As you can see bing Demographics are mostly older. Health is the way to go with the free samples. Maybe can do okay with life insurance if you can find the offers.
You know no age requirements/Physical Exam
Hope this helps good luck

I am doing cpa but only for mobile offers. So far no success. anyone like to give any advice for me too? I know it's not my thread but if anyone can help that's great.

Something that was mentioned to me before was never to use Bing. The only people who use Bing are old people that have got it because it comes built in with Windows. They aren't very tech savvy and will have a very limited knowledge of buying online and they are hard to target offers because they don't buy much online. Might be right, might be wrong but I dont know anyone who uses Bing. Apart from my Mum....... but she is 85.

Sweepstakes - you have zero chance with PPC, unless you run an aggressive angle or offer some incentive/content lock. A pre-lander/pre-sell is an absolute must.

Just stop your unprofitable campaign asap and do not waste any more money on it.

Yeh i learnt that the hard way when i did that campaign, which is why i put so much effort into this campaign,in terms of building out a landing page when then became a mini authority site in order to get the users to convert once the landed on the presel. Back to the drawing board. Only problem with cpa is no one teaches you how to do it profitably, and in a way that you can learn and improve from it. All you hear is "TAKE ACTION", they don't tell you that by taking action you're gonna lose money by trial and error until you find a winning formula. @BassTrackerBoats You suggest getting a high paying offer then testing that one out then ?

You are doing it wrong. find and Dating SOI campaign and test.

If i am doing it wrong, we are part of a forum where people tend to share their experience and so on. Feel free to shed light into what i am doing wrong so i learn and progress. ?

Thanks for the advice, what kind of offers you know to work for PPC @Sephrata ? Tearing my hair out here lol

Just stop your unprofitable campaign asap and do not waste any more money on it.

Thanks for the advice but What else you suggest @Jackky

Thanks bro, i will take that information and digest it well, Lord knows i fuckin need too. I knew this in all honesty but i guess i was stuck on this "MASTER YOUR TRAFFIC SOURCE" ""bullshit that all the gurutards state.

Lots of method here on BHW, I would try something else. This campaign is clearly unprofitable and it won't change, if you will continue wasting $ on it.

If you are using Bing paid ads, you would be better advertising something on a pay-per-sale of at least $30 or a revenue share product where you will get the initial sale plus the rebill money. For a payment of $1.60 per lead, you are going to find it very hard to make any kind of profit, more likely a loss. Just my opinion of course.
