Actually this is (IMO) irracional stuff. With big amount of expired webs we can bring really humongous amounts of link juice but I still can't outrank some board that is there for years and they didnt even do seo. Their threads users make just rank.

Im sure ive brought enough link juice. My conclusion is that the link juice was in wrong shape and it would be better if directed at semi-pbns with 100 pages of related content each. Or my other conclusion is that forum wins because of the humongous amount of content they have and had for years.

A Weebly Tier 1 is still efficient if you create a good Tier 2 for them. It takes many months to see the improvement on the ranking of your money site.

But in comparison, a good domain name with great metrics bought in auction, clean history, is by experience better than 10 free web 2.0 in Tier 1.

So, I used both as link diversity.

I never bought a weebly account. I build them with partial subdomain name, create a unique content, a single outbound link to a subpage of my money site, a good Tier 2 by myself + some comments on related websites to this weebly Tier 1, and a lot of patience.

I don't say it is the best, but this is my way I don't rely on just weebly Tier 1 otherwise I will not go far if the keyword is not an easy one.

Whether they are freshly expired or expired since dinosaurs, it absolutely does not matter.

Web 2.0s work fine, not as amazing as they used to, but for diversity and some slight firepower, they are perfectly usable. Always a part of my linkbuilding campaigns.

However, do not focus on any DA/PA metrics please. RD is fairly important, but that doesn't apply to Tumblr, when 99.9% of all links can be nofollow. Always check them manually.
