I'm a junior coder, work full time in technical support and big time gamer.

How do you post a thread here? Can seem to work it out :(

You can post a thread quite easily but because you are new the spam filters are extremely strict to prevent people signing up and just dumping links to sites or affiliate links.

Just post around the forums a bit and the filters will ease off in time.

for posting a thread you need to post on different threads 15 times. then creating your own thread is unlocked. This also unlocks to start a new conversation with a member. Hope this helps.

You can start your own thread immediately after you join, it's just private messaging that is restricted until 15 posts.
