Zero responses from cold emails

Well maybe your emails go to spam and not inbox
Also i would test 1k emails ,i think 100 its not enough
Also i would include some testimonials in my emails and i would ask help from a good marketar because contacting people on cold emails you need to know marketing very well

What many IT guys do not realize is that website is absolutely not needed for businesses from "yellow pages" nowadays.

Just in my circles I know quite a few small offline business owners who do not have a website, and simply do their promotion through Facebook, or only have a Google my business account. And they are successful in what they do. Or they do not have any online presence at all...

What's more, still way too many people send emails like you. I get dozens of offers for website redesign monthly, let alone for SEO, to different emails accounts on different websites combined. Sometimes I open one out of curiosity, but typically I simply delete it altogether.

My idea for you: Change your approach completely. Instead of sending hundreds of emails to people who do not know you, go out and network. Visit the places, buy something, come repeatedly, try to make a connection.
Once they know you tell them what you do, and just then try to pitch them for making a website. You can easily convert 1/5 leads in this way if not more. Build your name and reputation in local community, and they will even recommend you further. What's more, you will actually get to know local people and places, which is a nice benefit of such an approach :)

Sorry if put this in the wrong category, this is my first time writing here.

I just started a software company with a friend mine and we are having a really hard time at getting clients.
We are trying to find potential clients through cold email, but after 100 emails sent each we are not getting any response at all.

This is our template:
Subject: Hoping to help

Is there another way to find clients other than this?

Try this:

Hi {Insert Name},

I was looking for {your product} on yellowpages, and have to say I love {X} about {your product}. However, I couldn't find your website.

Would you be interested in getting more customers sent to you through a personalised website for your business?

Let me know.

Kind Regards,

[My name]

Why would this work?

Anyone who doesnt have website is someone who just wants customers, end of story thats it. Dinosaur generation that believes in instant profits - sell them a lead, they'll love you.

In this case, by promoting a website as a way to get more customers, is better.

TLDR: Tell them the result, then show them how to get there.

Also once you sold them website, upsell them on SEO or social media ads...

(All emails would have to be in same niche and same products of course to automate this, but you get the idea

Your advertisement is a tier D or some low tier.

Dude, 90%of the users nowadays skips a screen after 2-5s, who would read your spammy emails.
Do proper advertisement, not this 90s style.

Firstly, it's a numbers game, keep sending emails and don't be disheartened.

Secondly, make sure your emails aren't reaching spam.

Thirdly, your mail subject "hoping to help" is bad on many levels. It seems scammy in general.

Additionally, you need to have some conviction in your words, I don't mean make it look like you're arrogant but saying hoping to help implies you aren't even sure if you can help. Such language shows that you doubt your own ability, it's an important thing to change.

I tried helping a client with her accounting offer via using Gmass. Put a couple hundred into this with copy, gmass, warmer tool and so on. Sent 250 or more emails fast to people a dataminer got me off Fiverr (was good first order then shitty the 2nd). I checked the responses with my followup and there was around 40 NO REPLIES (People saying no thanks or take them off the list). I know this works for contacting people now. I just think the offer was not exciting and could have been a more targeted list than just B2B emails locally. But yes it got me a response with cold email. BTW these emails all had firtst lines I got for $0.30 ea

Warm up the emails good so you stay out of promos and spam. Good luck.

I’m a business owner and I get tons of similar junk e-mail daily. Your email is generic and looks like spam. I’m tired of John smiths with seo and webdesign company from blangadesh/Índia sending 30 emails like yours. So probably the business owners you trying to reach also get spammed to death with such offerings

It may have went through straight to spambox. You should have installed a tracker within you contexts so you would know.

1. Why not target a specific niche, let's say "barber shops"?
2. Now create a website template for a "barbershop".
3. Now in the main header section you must include their business name + phone number + etc ( I guess you have this data already ).
4. On each email you send, include a button with a link to the template, like this
yourdomain.com?business_name=Barbers 93&phone_nr=1111111&email=[email protected]

5. All you have to do is to use these variables and put them on your barbershop template.
They will see an almost-ready website done for them.

A more advanced way is to include in the email body an website preview (photo).

For subjects I will use:
"Your Website is ready"
"Website for Barbers 99 is alive"
Etc

Some google badge certifications may help you to have them included in your email body.

This is one of the worst cold email templates I've ever seen.

"Hoping to help" .. ? That's completely meaningless. 99% of people will ignore this.

Hoping to help with what? Why do you want to help me? Who are you? What do you want? That's what this makes people think.

Anyone that opens it gets greeted with a nice to meet you.. It's a cold email. It's not nice, and you aren't meeting anyone.

You don't even give them a value proposition of any sort inside the email.

And to top all that, website design is an awful business. It's one of the hardest to sell because everyone who wants a site, has a site. Anyone who doesn't is going to be a hard sell in 2022.

But you'd want a subject like "I found a problem with your business"

99% will open that. You then have to write a good body. Get some books on copywriting :-)

I would try to change your emails topic, the topic and your email's first lines are something the potential client will judge you for.

Use some attention getters topic and sentences in your email, and you will see results sooner or later.

Also, your email offer 0 value, no wonder nobody replies back.

Try to think how you can give them some value without any strings or requirements from their side, at least something small, just so they will reply and get to know your company's services a little better.

The thing is it was the best i could do with zero investment, I'm trying to save some money to pay for ads now.

Our previous subject was: "Looking for more clients? We got a solution!" but my business partner thought it sounded very spammy so we changed it, but you're right, it's even worse.
I think website design is as awful as any other business actually, keep in mind that those business that already have a website may be needing an update, plus there will always be new business looking for a website.

Actually we are doing something like this in our country (Uruguay), but here websites are sold a lot cheaper, like $100 for a traditional website or $500 for a more complex one (an eCommerce, a website with a database, etc).
We tried cold emails to reach clients from usa, but it seems we will be needing another approach now

100 mails is not much for cold mailing. also are you sure they end up in the inbox and not the spam folder?
100 is enough to get you 20 positive results. If you can get your real clients emails addresses.
Cold emails won't work if you keep sending to random email addresses, it means you are not meeting the right audience

Before you started this software company, did you do any marketing analysis or research pertaining to client acquisition ? If yes, then what are the main points of that analysis ? If no, then why did you not consider doing a marketing related analysis before you started your company. Sorry to say, but the market is no longer how it was in the 70's/80's.
Cold email marketing will not get you clients for a software.
Have you allocated funds for any effective enough ad campaigns ? Is it a software for business usage ? In that case LinkedIn Ads would work better for marketing a software. By the way "Ads" means advertisements, which one has to pay for. Another good way of marketing a software is display ads targeting the correct audience via the appropriate medium.
Your response is extremely accurate however you are very mistaken if you think cold emails won’t get you clients for software. I run cold emails for my clients SaaS products and it’s working like a dream.

That's not how you do it.

You should never get a "no thanks". That means you're trying to sell something.

Don't try to do this in cold email unless you have something spectacularly different to sell, or you have a direct benefit for the person, like you are offering THEM money for something.

Create something of real value and give it to them for free. A tool, a guide, a course. Not some shitty article, but something tangible. A video course etc.

Then after they consume the offering have them opt in to another list if they want to hear from you again and just keep funneling people from your cold to your warm list.

On your warm list you then warm them up with another couple of emails sent out 1 every 24 hours for the next 2-3 days, THEN you make an offer.

Another problem with trying to sell in cold email is you're just targeting everyone.

The offer you make should allow you to focus in on your target client since you make something that solves a problem only your target client has.

You have given an exact example of the emails I get about 10 a day to my e-commerce shop's email.

Guess what?
They all land immediately in the trash.

If they haven't been automatically flagged as spam then I do it myself.

They all look the same - just content, no pictures, and no results of your work shown.

If you have a high ticket service you can sell to businesses such as consulting, digital marketing, business loans etc you should be able to thrive with obtaining clients quickly.

I obtained 10 interested leads December 19th all through cold email marketing. These are businesses that have responded positively to my cold email message and they're wanting further information from me.

Cold email marketing is highly effective but you have to make sure you're using the correct software which I've found out the hard way over the years.

I grew my business from $8,000 per month to $36,000 per month through cold email marketing.
