Zero responses from cold emails

Sorry if put this in the wrong category, this is my first time writing here.

I just started a software company with a friend mine and we are having a really hard time at getting clients.
We are trying to find potential clients through cold email, but after 100 emails sent each we are not getting any response at all.

This is our template:
Subject: Hoping to help

Hi [Insert Name], Nice to meet you!,

I recently found out about your business on yellowpages.com, and I couldn't help noticing that you don't have a website yet.
Keep in mind that in today's world having a website it's crucial for the growth of your business since this makes it easier for potential clients to find out about it.

We would like to offer you a website according to your needs, if you are interested, please feel free to contact me.

[My name]

[Company] Website:
LinkedIn Profile:

Is this a good template to start with?
Is there another way to find clients other than this?

100 mails is not much for cold mailing. also are you sure they end up in the inbox and not the spam folder?

My two cents

1. There are some minor typos/grammar issues in that template, you might want to get them fixed just to be sure they're not the ones scaring away your potential clients.
2. Asking them to contact you for a website might be a bit of an overkill...I would suggest telling them to contact you for a FREE report on areas that need improving. We all love free things, don't we? The minute you capture their attention with the freebie, you then try to pitch the idea of a better website to them.

Start by sending 200 emails per day and use 4-5 different templates and see which one get the most responses.

1. Your template is not too bad for a start
2. Yes, there are lots of ways to find clients

Overall, your success depends on :

1. The volume of emails that you send
2. The leads that you are sending to
3. The platform that you are sending with
4. Your copywriting skills
 
What I normally do with cold emails (more like I did 5 years ago), is testing the subject and the body.

For instance, how was your open rate? if it's low you need to try new subjects, If it's between 10% (generous rate for cold emails) you start to analyse the click rate of the opened emails, if you have low click rate, work on a more appealing body message.

Try multiple subjects and then on those subjects swap multiples bodies, and analyse to check which email works/converts the best.

If possible also try to improve your database of contacts, 100 is very limited for testing cold emails

Hope that this info will help you on the underrated (for me) cold email strategy ;)
 
Try catchy subjects where they can feel that you know them, such as:

-Is your company still on the yellow pages?
-How can I contact your company?

Before you started this software company, did you do any marketing analysis or research pertaining to client acquisition ? If yes, then what are the main points of that analysis ? If no, then why did you not consider doing a marketing related analysis before you started your company. Sorry to say, but the market is no longer how it was in the 70's/80's.
Cold email marketing will not get you clients for a software.
Have you allocated funds for any effective enough ad campaigns ? Is it a software for business usage ? In that case LinkedIn Ads would work better for marketing a software. By the way "Ads" means advertisements, which one has to pay for. Another good way of marketing a software is display ads targeting the correct audience via the appropriate medium.
 
And another thing I would like to add in order for you to avoid future headaches. Your email reputation is based on the opened and clicked emails, so if you do mass emailing and nobody opens your email you'll get penalised and all your emails will go to spam. Try using good email providers and try not send more than 500 per day, but if you want to i suggest to use different domains for that purpose otherwise all your domain email goes to the spam folder

This is a good answer!

See if there's demand for it, if it's too saturated try other approaches that value your business model.

For instance, almost anyone can do website with builder tools, try offer the website and upsell the hosting and support for maintence.

I did that after sending the first 30 messages i think, i tried it 2 times and all of them came to my inbox

Could you point me where those grammar errors are please?, it would help me a lot, as Spanish is my primary language.

To be honest, no. I just saw that there were a lot of business without a website and i thought i could make some profit from that. We were thinking on paying for ads after some sales, but it seems we should start right now with them

The thing is that every kind of business seems to be oversatured right now, i really have no idea how to find if there's a demand for it

There's a link with my company's website at the bottom of the template, i thought about sending them some pictures from the old projects also, but i read somewhere that gmail may mark my email as spam if there are files atached to it

Do you track your open rates? What are your open rates?
 
Make sure your list is clean and targeted.

Test multiple subjects.

Test multiple bodies.

Use spintax to make your emails look unique to filters.
