Hello,

The main goal for this Journey thread for me personally would be to improve my writing & BH SEO skills. English is not my native language, and in the process of keeping track of my progress in this Journey, I can archive both of those goals.
Lately, I believe I am better at creating SaaS products, and I am doing less and less BH marketing stuff...

So full disclaimer: For AI content generation I will be using my own SaaS tool. We are getting good feedback, from the few users we have, and constantly improving, but '''hands-on'' approach is way better, and this Journery is exactly for that - first to prove that AI sites still can rank & be profitable, and a way for me to keep improving this SaaS, and a new one that is for more general B2B application.

I may add more domains, but the plan is to start with those 3 -

subdomain.domain1.com
(Will build - Amazon Broad Niche Autoblog)
DR 47, ~5k backlinks, from ~800 linking websites
This is my own domain, from the old project, this subdomain was used for image CDN, which was moved, but over time gained a lot of organic backlinks, images that are linked are still hosted on a subdomain.

auctiondomain1.com (Will build - Amazon Electronic Niche Autoblog + PAA Niche Blog)
DR 19, ~39k backlinks, ~100 liking sites, has Wiki backlinks, brandable.
59$ Dropcatch auction domain, careless backorder - just had few good backlinks, forgot to double check full domain history, not heavily spammed in past, but had some issues, can't recall what exactly, but there was a reason why I got it for 59$ and it did not go to auction, with higher bids...

auctiondomain2.com (Will build - Amazon Books Niche Autoblog)
DR 3, 59 backlinks, 39 linking sites, has Wiki backlinks, brandable.
59$ Dropcatch auction domain, same story careless backorder - just had few good backlinks, forgot to double check full domain history...

Done so far -
  • Chosen WP themes, plugins, etc., for each website
  • All hosted, connected, and configured in WP, CF, GSC, and GA & in my App
Next 7 days -
  • Schedule 10 - 50 posts/daily for each site
    • Find the best ASINs for each niche, for product pages & best keywords, for PAA article posts
  • Figure out the best backlink strategy, for each niche, and start implementing it -
    • Research competition backlinks - replicate & improve
    • + Would go for UGC backlinks straight away - in each niche, try to make Quora & Reddit, forum, etc., links stick in the same niche, and link back to newly created AI content on those 3 sites. 2 birds with one stone, kind of plan... If my AI content/pages are good enough, and I target low-hanging fruit - long tail product specific Quora, and Reddit Questions, would also milk those sites for traffic too...

Good luck with your journey.
I like your domain stats.

GLWUJ, Amazon affiliate percentage is very low, you will need a lot of traffic to get a good income

I would look for an alternative to Amazon affiliate that pays a lot better.

Good luck OP!
GLWUJ, Amazon affiliate percentage is very low, you will need a lot of traffic to get a good income

I agree that % is low, for general content, even if Amazon banners/links are niche related.

What I am going for there is a different concept - fast one-click 1 ASIN/product to 1 AI-generated Amazon Product page.
+ I will mostly target high price products and will do research on what products are underrepresented in SERPs, where I can rank on the first page.
+ will then try to automate those product pages/articles posting to related Reddit/Quora, forum posts, etc.

So essentially the goal is to generate fast AI content to high return/recurring passive income, from SERP results that already have a ''buyer intend'' for specific/exact brand products or same niche products. So even if a visitor goes on Amazon from my site, and decides on a different product, it's still in a cookie period, because the chance is higher when there is a ''buying intend''...

You can also use AdSense along with it if you are not able to get decent results from Amazon affiliates. Or any other alternative.

For sure, the monetization part will be relatively easy, once I get there, I can test multiple - Adsense or other Ad networks and put ones with the best CPM on those product pages.

There is no ''checkout button'', instead it's a button with an Amazon affiliate link to the exact product, but Amazon is core for this type of Autoblogs...
As I am using Amazon ASIN for scraping & paraphrasing base product info, images, etc. + adding related PAAs on the product page.

Quick Update.

Really busy with other SaaS projects, but did manage to schedule ~50 posts daily per site.
Will be using about the same theme, and article template for all of them, just each will have a bid different Amazon product/niche strategy.

Here is an example of article layout, and content - https://imgur.com/a/9vuaGII

For example, on one site, spent 6.95$ on OpenAI API, and used Deepl 500k free credits + 1k free on SERPER API, so costs per article are ~0.01985$
Those will increase to max 2-3 cents per article once I need to pay for Deepl PRO, or NLP, will probably use NLP for most posts, and use Deepl for only more expensive items, as it does provide better quality translations. + SERPER API.

I am still using text-davinci-003 OpenAI Model for now, as it's still more reliable with my tests than gpt-4, or gpt-3.5-turbo.

In the next update, will post indexation results.
Will start working on the Backlink strategy described in the original post.

Quick Update.

As always have been busy with other projects, and forgot to post an update about indexation.

So I submitted 2 websites, on GSC, using RankMath SEO for sitemap.
Pages were indexed relatively quickly, but for a site that I pushed hard with Amazon content, many posts got stuck on
'Discovered - Currently Not Indexed'
https://imgur.com/AX8nbvAhttps://imgur.com/Rw1ihNp
The other one with fewer posts got almost all pages indexed, but also some are stuck on the same error.
I submitted ''Validation Fix' and I see that pages are slowly being indexed.

As per Google's explanation, this is an issue with overloading my server, so all is good there, no issues on the content side:

''Discovered - currently not indexed -

The page was found by Google, but not crawled yet. Typically, Google wanted to crawl the URL but this was expected to overload the site; therefore Google rescheduled the crawl. This is why the last crawl date is empty on the report.''

Getting a few clicks already from SERPs, but nothing conclusive yet.
When doing ''site: domain.com'' or raw domain lookup on Google, I can see a nice Product Schema, so all good there too, Google may rank those pages a alongside exact product searches - https://imgur.com/vJnbLeR

Again was busy with new AI SaaS development, so left this project on auto-pilot just scheduled posts, to run consistently for the last 30+ days.

To my surprise starting to get some commissions on Amazon associates, but also have some kind of strange click anomaly, every few days, that totally messes up conversation rates - https://imgur.com/bhCgycN

Have you combined AdSense or Ezoic to increase income yet

Good luck. For Books Autoblog which type of articles you are generating?
