Has anyone seen that when any of your visitor completes a CPALead survey, an account for their name is created automatically?

Recently, some of my visitors complained that it's asking for some additional but mandatory steps after completing a survey, like "share this on Facebook to unlock" and "Enter your email to access the file". As soon as they provide email an confirmation mail sent to their email saying ... "Click here to get your file" and they were taken to CPALead dashboard...WTH.

When asked, CPALead people say that it's automatic, to increase your Referral count. But I don't want this style of getting Refs (though I am not seeing any increase of Refs in my dasboard!!!)! And, creating a Ref account without anyone's interest is illegal, I think... my visitors are blaming me that I have tricked this. Again, it's like telling everybody that "I have locked this content to earn money from you and these Security Check is just a bullshit".

I don't like this at all ... what do you say?

Yes, I could not believe it when I came to know for the first time... but the CPALead people confirmed it.

I have difficulties to believe such a scenario. Lockers would actually create an account on CPALead out of the information they provide ?

But it doess't make any sense. Why would those people be interested in CPA Lead?

Yes, I agree with you.

So, now everyone will be a member of cpalead and one day there will be no use of us promoting them.

Cpalead people, pls stop doing that.

Yes but why would a non-IM person take interest on their account? I don't know, if cpalead sends Newsletters to them ... if it is, then we are going to loose lots of visitors for sure. Besides, our sites reputation will be at stake.

CPALead is stealing our traffic and Killing our business.

Not only they are killing our business, but theirs too.

Hey Gurus, please suggest me .... what should I do now?

Has anyone seen that when any of your visitor completes a CPALead survey, an account for their name is created automatically?

We actually answered your same question on another forum. (He-man I believe is your user handle?).

We aren't hurting anyone's business or adding steps to the flow of generating leads etc. That makes 0 sense for both CPAlead and affiliates. If we did that, it would be bad for our own business as well.

What we do, however, is provide secure URL's to visitors so that they can access their content. This makes sense, its what you're supposed to do when content is unlocked. Users access the content upon completion of a survey and we also send them an e-mail (if an accurate address is provided after the lead is completed) which provides them with the URL in case they miss it or close the window during the normal flow. In addition, an account at CPAlead is created where their content links are stored so that they can access them or see them as a reference point so no one can complain they never got their content. Now if a user wants to take that and become a full fledged CPAlead user by signing up with all of their details and becoming a normal affiliate, then yes, we give that referral to you since the idea is that they only ever used a CPAlead related URL or heard of us because of the affiliate's promotion. That could be said of any network, people hear about them and sign up - only we give you the referral if we know it came from you. Why wouldn't we provide the affiliate with a referral? Why keep that for ourselves? We don't pitch commercials to your users or block them from using your promotions or receiving their content ever. However, like anyone, if they do try to become an earning affiliate, we have a lot of supporting information, tutorials and the like that they can easily find. That's a good thing, why not have documents for any newcomers and if it is your referral coming to us, you want us to have tutorials for them. If not, then they simply use CPAlead to access their content that they unlocked and move on. That you haven't seen anyone generate revenue as a referral for you isn't shocking or odd. The number of people who move using our system to access content to choosing to become a full fledged affiliate, learning how to run promotions then earning revenue is low. I'm sure anyone would assume its not a high percentage. It does happen and its nice when it does, you can end up earning passive income for no work on your end and that's great! However, its a low percentage of people who do.

Providing the users with an e-mail that contains a URL to their content and a place to fetch their URLs which link to content actually helps everyone. There are a lot of users who complain that they didn't get their content or something went wrong. They complain to advertisers and it isn't fair to the affiliate when that happens. There's no hearsay in these situations since we can say no, they moved on to their content, the URL was unlocked and we even sent them a secure link to it. No arguing, no lost leads :) Its a good step to protect affiliates and minimize any misunderstandings or errors that users may commit.

Thanks Newon, we appreciate your feedback both here and over on other forums.

First of all, I am not he-man or what-so-ever. It means, others also complaining about this.

Now, tell me about these...
1. Why are you collecting emails from my visitors as a middle-man?

2. By opening an account, you are just trying to make our visitors your users ... is it not?

3. If you really want to make the file link secure, you could have made a blank-page only with the download link. But here, you are showing him the publisher dashboard - where all offer links, earning details and chatbox is present. Even a noob can understand what that is.

4.
Now if a user wants to take that and become a full fledged CPAlead user by signing up with all of their details and becoming a normal affiliate,
Now tell me, if he is not interested to continue with the account? I am sure; most of the people who complete a survey are non-IMers.
Here you are just filtering my visitors in a hope to increase your publisher count, by killing our business. After seeing this dashboard, those people will never complete any survey again as they will easily understand that this "Security Check" popup is just a bullshit.

5. Think about this funny, awkward situation: A person looking for ?Norton Premium License? and he completes a survey but lands in a CPA dashboard to learn how to earn online? lol.
Well, we?ll do niche research, do seo to rank, drive traffic to our site with a hope that the visitors will complete an offer to earn me some money. And you are there to turn all those people to be your publisher. I don?t know how many of those people will use those accounts but surely you have shown them how I earn from them.

6. And, most interestingly, you are not blamed anywhere as the visitor clicked the download button on my site. He?ll think, I have tricked them to open an account on that site.

Please stop doing this ? we know how to get referrals for us (thanks to the Ref tools you provided) but this is what you are doing is just --- insane!

...(if an accurate address is provided after the lead is completed)...

so, cpalead is asking for emails after the lead is completed but before serving the locked material, right? How is that not adding extra steps to unlock?

I think this has both advantages and disadvantages depending on how you view it. It would be better if affiliates are given the choice to activate that.

I would be really mad if my content locker will have this kind of FORCE REFERRAL system at the end.

Yes, that would be the best option. Again, those collected emails should be shown on our dashboard which we can use as our lead.

First of all, I am not he-man or what-so-ever. It means, others also complaining about this.

I'll keep it short and straight forward.

1. I explained the process in detail. Please see my last post.

2. Again, please see my last post. It provides secure access and also eliminates hearsay. Reversals or advertiser complaints often stem from users who complain but don't follow steps provided to them.
They then write advertisers saying that they didn't get something or things didn't work etc. We can easily show advertisers that steps were taken to provide content, we have it logged, in our system etc. Please do read my reply as it will eliminate redundancy and help keep the thread focused for others :)

3. See above. That no one is ever solicited, sent an e-mail contacted about anything on CPAlead other than accessing and storing links to their content makes it clear. These users are not part of our affiliate mailing list. If we were trying to push anything on them or send them anything other than a stored link to their content (which is all that they are e-mailed once its unlocked). If we were doing anything else with them, we would solicit them (obviously) somehow - we do not. Having a central access point also encourages users that promotions are legitimate. They have someone (CPAlead) to complain to if there's an issue and can trust in the promotions they see when they encounter lockers.

4. No and that doesn't make sense. It shows them its legitimate. We actually take the step of reconciling with the user if they are unhappy with content (as they often are) they then contact us. Sometimes they're right and the affiliate didn't do something properly and often they simply got confused but blame the affiliate. The last thing anyone wants is complaints to the advertiser over a misunderstanding. We remedy any complaints directly with users. Unless you're very new to IM, you know that keeping a user from complaining to the advertiser (whether valid or not) is a good thing, few IM companies help eliminate complaints but CPAlead does. It helps relationships with advertisers and protects affiliate earnings. We know that there will always be users getting confused so its good we can sort things on our end. After all, this is incentive marketing - there are going to be complaints from users about Affiliates and we want to protect everyone in the process.

5/6 aren't exactly questions or statements with a question but rather your personal analogies so I can't speak to that but, fair enough.

Thanks

1,2. NO, it's not the answer. You are just stealing our traffic. And, saying confidently "I am stealing" doesn't mean that you are doing it right.

3. Again, if you want to deliver the file on a secure platform, why not a blank page with the download link? Why a publisher dashboard!
Have you ever seen lead generation landing pages? Make a page like that, with the original file download link and there you can place your banner and ask them if they are interested to use your network.

4. Yes, it makes sense. Why would a non-IMer keep that account. On the other hand it will make them irritated as you are creating an account without informing them. Even for a Subscription, we ensure double opt-in to ensure their interest.

5, 6. It looks irrevelant to you as you are neglecting these 2 important factors which we, your publishers face. You are not even bother about those as you don't need to answer the visitors. You are happy as you are just enjoying our traffic sitting at the back--- all blames come to us!

Hi Friend

I am He-Man on another forum (my username with this forum is different) where I had put the same discussion out because after much sending of emails to the support the reply was not there.

Peter - or CPA LEAD Tom had replied to me there and I am yet not satisfied with the answer he is providing

I am very much of the same opinion with the OP here of this thread.
I hope the thread would not be deleted by the mods or admin in this forum as it was done in the other forum because the admin thought Peter would sort it out, I hope the admin of the other forum should come and read this thread so as to see what I had put up was a very logical question which is hampering our earnings.

I will post some of the replies and conversation in the PM I had with Peter in the other forum

Posted the communication between me and Peter of CPA LEAD from the PM in threaded form

CPAlead Wrote:Hi He-Man,

I wanted to get in touch with you as I believe you had some additional questions. So "after" completing a lead and generating the affiliate (you) money, everyone gets an account created with CPAlead where they can access the URL to their content. We don't host the content itself of course as that's not our business model (and it may just be a site or a URL to a site) but this was a step we took to help improve quality and security. The user could also have a reference point and there could be no argument that they weren't given their content which is a complaint we get quite a bit. The content would be there and easy to access from within CPAlead's dashboard.

Then, if they wanted to keep that account, we also had some very clear links that they could follow to learn how to get started. We also included guides on how to start earning and we even built contentlockinghelp.com

This would make you more money since they would count as the referral. So with this program, the user gets their content everytime and has a reference point + they can never say they didn't receive it + they have a chance to earn you referral money.

I hope that clarifies everything and there never are any hard feelings. I'll be honest and straight forward. If I see that someone makes an error or says something negative where its not appropriate or fair, I'll point it out and clear things up. At the end of the day, this program like everything else we do is built to help you generate the most revenue possible.

Thanks,
Peter
Hello Peter

First of all pls make me understand on why the visitor will get an account created, I think they should be directly re-directed to the pdf file url I have in place, because that is what they are coming in for and not for an account with CPA Lead.

Moreover why will I let me visitors become members of CPA Lead, so as they also learn the way from where I am earning money, no one wants to share their part of the secret.

Another thing - you have mentioned that the accounts that the visitors get created would be my referral, but I do not see any referral at my end from my dashboard

Lastly - visitors are looking for the end product, after reading so many things in my website and landing page and at the end they are turned to an account page which pisses them off and they dnt even look at the account page to get the link by clicking,

example: it is like giving a meat to a dog and every time he completes a task to get rewarded you pull it back or hide it under something and the dog has to find the way to get the reward, well the dog already worked hard to get the reward now why should it search for the reward it should be placed on the bowl in front of the dog.
Hello He-man,

The user is immediately given access to the PDF or to anything else that they've unlocked. However, in order to help the process we took on the ability to ensure that they receive their URL and there can be no hearsay (in other words, they cannot say that they did not receive it as we track it). The account with CPAlead is simply an access portal to your content. Much in the same way that pages hosted by CPAlead are used to access content. If a user decides, on their own, to do more with the account then yes you can generate revenue from them but the first priority is delivering content - which we do.

No one is given your secrets or an explanation of your niche. However, they only have an access account (to access your content) created once they have already generated revenue for you through the type of locker you're using.

If someone closes their account after accessing content, they will not show as a referral. If they choose to do nothing with the account, they are not a referral. However, if they learn and generate revenue then it applies.

Lastly, you are correct. Users are looking for access and having an access URL with clear instructions is helpful. It also avoids situations where they receive your content then complain that they did not and ask us or advertisers for credit. We can track who's received the content promised to them and avoid these situations.

I think this began where you posted an inaccurate video and made errors. I explained what went wrong there. I've also explained the process that we have in place. Our process provides users with content, it tracks the user flow and also yields strong earnings for our affiliates.

We have multiple options if you wish to adjust the flow, use different lockers types or otherwise.

Thanks for your message and enjoy your weekend.

If you require any additional assistance in the future, please feel free to submit a ticket and we will help you out ASAP.

Best Regards,
Peter
Why is this complicated

you say you can track who downloaded my ebook right ? then why cannot I see the same ?
Why is your system having such built that people are turned to your dashboard page rather than being turned to the pdf or whatever link is locked for them, it should be the other way, I would not mind getting people with you but the fact is they should first get the ebook then an account opened, not an account opened first from where they have to look for the ebook link again, that makes people confuse - think from that point of view

Now coming to the point of getting referrals, you stated two things here first is once account is made I get the referrals, but then you also mention that if account is deleted r they do not use the account then the lead will not be counted as referral, why will someone who is just looking for an ebook by chance in error got an account created will ever use or even try to delete the account they will just overlook it think of it as an error or fake system and at the end would blame the main author or IMer or website from where they were re-directed. So why is this happening, was it stated in the T&C of CPA LEAD. In fact I see cpa lead stresses on the part that members should use proper links and urls and that visitors should get what they are looking for at the end of the completion of survey. It is like forcing someone, moreover what is the use of such refs.
Example: You are at place X and want to go to point Y and I am also with you, now in the middle of the journey I force you to halt at point D and then re-start your journey next day, if you could have reach point Y from place X on the same day then why will you halt at point D, would not that get you more frustrated?

Oh and at the end of the reply you state pls send a support ticket, brother I did that previously and saw what kind of communication is done and that is why I turned down for a help with the forum, but alas the thread is also removed.

What I see is a solution is not given to the problem I am facing rather explanations are provided. Peter this is only one problem, the other problems are also there, like your mobile re-directs also does not work and I have tested them from my end, they just does not work.
your mobile re-direct says install an app and open it for xx time and I tested it accordingly but then I saw that click is counted not the lead. Another problem at times even after completing the survey the locker does not unlocks and the loading bar keeps on moving with the message that either you have not completed the survey or complete another survey.

Peter - my friend I being an user of your website am trying to help you by bringing out the problems so that you can solve it with your team. you never know might be a publisher today turns out to be an advertiser tomorrow.

Have a nice weekend. It is good to communicate directly with you rather than sending support tickets, however if that is the procedure I would follow it provided communication is smooth.
