WordPress or Blogspot or b2evolution et al.?

For those who are new to blogging, what would you recommend:

WordPress, Blogspot, b2evolution or other?

I was asked this question just a couple of days ago.

Do not think any other script other than wordpress. But you should have a domain and hosting account to make money. Blogspot is also OK but that is not under your total control.

Maybe you would like to go just for blogging. So you can have an account at Wordpress.com. There are hundreds of sites giving free blogging opportunities also like wordpress.com.

I recommend, as written above, to buy a domain from a registrar and a hosting account to setup WP. But before that, you should decide upon your niche. That affects choosing your domain name and yor blog structure.
