Will Telegram taking 1st place over whatsapp?

Maybe because telegram don't have their privacy policy in which they share data
 
not so far because WhatsApp has updated their policy again "Your personal conversations are still protected by end-to-end encryption, which means no one outside of your chats, not even WhatsApp or Facebook, can read or listen to them. "

Right , its the case before as well then what is the reason for this outbreak.
 
I don't see why not?

It's not like they are competing against a giant like Amazon

It is very possible if their growth team is active
 
whatsapp takes too much informtion. I dont touch it.
 
Not sure if Telegram will take place but whatsapp will definitely slowly dwindle in my opinion
 
I think people are finally starting to get fed up with data collection online and Whatsapp will either stop being invasive or other apps and social media platforms will come to the front. I'm not convinced about Telegram right now though.
 
Telegram is better than whatsapp for me though
 
Its getting Interesting that telegram started to get more investor recently. see the below news.

Encrypted messaging app Telegram announced that it had raised $ 150 million from two major investors in Abu Dhabi and would open an office here.
 
Again Whatspp is leading the race as see below.

Most downloaded app in March: WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger are in the top 5 list, - Apart from the Game.

Telegram will be just an addon to WhatsApp, wont able to replace it
 
in Latin America Whatsapp is a big player, not sure if Telegram could get there as an alternative.
I belive Telegram could be there as an addon like ryuk said but not as a main. Well see in the future then
 
It is tough to adapt to a new layout, although Telegram's is better overall, but at the same time, all my friends are still using Whatsapp.
 
Ye telegram will sure take over especially considering that whatsapp is forcing people to share their data stuff whatsapp
