Don't do copy-pasting Amazon Product Descriptions. It would be good if you rewrite those Product Descriptions.

Na , Copy pasting is ok if you are not using adsense, but the pages will be ranked lower .

I know old posts aren't a great place to get current SEO tips, but the general idea is still the same. His method copied the full description and added to it, but I wouldn't go that far these days. The more unique content added to the page, the better. The existence of a few copied bullet points won't make or break you either way.

I actually have BTB's thread here bookmarked - read it some time ago, but yeah I was on the fence regarding the spec bullets. But of course I plan to use my own writing for product description - to add more to my sources and even make something new out of them

Google will not penalize plagiarized content. Just look at press releases, they are basically the same article posted on multiple websites but they all show up on Google. The issue is that your copied content will have a hard time ranking over more unique content.

From SEO perspective, you will be doomed. Other than that, you will not be penalized.

As @saleali said, it's product specs - this falls under Technical Writing, not Content Writing. - the question would then be, do you have techniques on re-writing Techinical Specs? - Or is arranging them in a different order already good enough?

I thought it was creative writing. Writing about how the product will improve the life of the buyer would suffice I believe.
