I woke up this morning to the annoying news that my AdSense account had been disabled for my site:

www dot solitairegamecenter dot com

I can't figure out why though and they won't give me any reason for disabling it.

From what I can tell, I'm not breaking any of their guidelines or anything. Any experts in here who can tell me why my account might have been disabled?

Hey brother

I have been in this situation..my website got disabled few years back and they had given me the reason that i am promoting pirated softwares..however i want not doing anything even close to piracy..i then submitted appeal but it went on deaf ears

After waiting for almost 6 months..i appealed again and this time they have approved my site and since then it is running fine..

So my advice would be to make an appeal against this ban and wait for their reply...also if your site is new..i would recommend you to create a new site after waiting for a month

Hope this helps

It certainly helps to know I'm not the only one in this situation.

I've already submitted an appeal, but I haven't received any reason whatsoever, as to why they disabled my account.

If you take a look at one of the most popular solitaire sites - www dot worldofsolitaire dot com - they have been having Google Ads on there forever, so I don't understand why my site should be disallowed to have ads on it.

How did you get to know why they disabled your account?

What stood out to me was that you were displaying banner ads right beside the deck of cards. Google is against webmaster's that place ads in places that could lead to accidental clicks. If I moved my mouse a few pixels to the left, off the deck, then I would end up clicking on your ad. In the example set you've shown (WorldofSolitaire), notice how they display ads on the complete opposite side of the deck, and not just that, but the ad is also quite the distance off from one of the rows of cards. Your competitor receives minimal accidental ad clicks, while you likely receive quite a bit of them.

That's an interesting guess. I hadn't thought of that at all.

There's no way I can verify this though, is there? Is there a way I can get Google to tell me why they disabled the account?

1. fake traffic
2. clicks on your own ads
3. someone consistently clicked on your ads
4. click-bait posts
5. blackhat method to trick people into clicking ads

there are many reasons why adsense could of disabled your account
now your only choice is to, E-mail them for resolution. and they will activate it
this has happened to me twice and i was able to get my account back both times.

after you get it back be careful !

I haven't done any of the above.

How have you emailed them? I've already submitted the one appeal you're allowed to submit, so I have no idea what to do from here. Are you saying there's something I can do?

they will get back with you, wait on appeal. see how it goes. you will get a Email from them !

The only email I've gotten from them is the one saying my account has been disabled and that I can submit an appeal, which I've already done (the appeal didn't go through).

Are you saying there's another email I can write? On which email can I write to get a clarification on this and potentially get my account opened again?

you can reply to that Email, they will respond !

Hmm... ok.

So what exactly should I write to them? What do you say to something like this:

------------------------------------------

I'm seeking some clarification on why my account was disabled. There are other solitaire card game sites out there that have Google ads (www dot worldofsolitaire dot com for example), so I can't imagine that is the reason.

These are the only reasons I can come up with that might explain why my account has been disabled:
1. I was showing ads in my Mac desktop app.
2. The ads where too close to the "actionable" area (too close to the board and the cards), which might make people click the ads accidentally.

I've spend a lot of time creating a quality solitaire card game, so I hope you'll help me figure out why my account has been disabled.

------------------------------------------

How does that sound? Can you think of any other reasons that my account has been disabled? Anything else you think I should include?

What was your CTR? if it was too high, its most likely excessive ad clicks

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I can remember I thought it was relatively high (like 3%-5%). I don't know if that's high?

they are very strict when it comes to the content .
i think they have disabled it because of the copyright violation

What copyright violation? The references to Windows, Mac and such?

Anything else about the content you think is wrong?

Avast tells me your site is infected with the JS:Miner-C trojan, you might want to fix that first...

Placing ads in such places is a blackhat method to get click, you truly violate their policy.. your best bet is to remove that ad asap and place somewhere else

3-5% is way too high
My CTR is 1.57% is it high?

In my case, they have sent me an email giving a very vague reason like pirate software content...not much info...it was 3-4 years back so it may happen that they have changed this now..but i request you to check your adsense account-->policy center ..and you may get more info..also plz browse ad-sense product forum..it will be much more helpful and you may get reply from official google team
