Why am I so bad at ranking on google...

Hello everyone , I made my account in 2017 and barely used it but I see that this forum is full of activity,

I am ranting here because I cannot post in other threads.

I am new with web development , I spent some time learning html css , made a few websites , fell in love with Wordpress and now I made a portfolio for me and even tho I own a very powerful domain my website is not even in top 20 on google when I legit look for it WITH THE ADDRESS, when I google site:xxxxxx it appears on google but is like google avoids me , I submitted indexes, I made content , sitemap , nothing

Other websites that I made generated thousands in traffic but my own personal website nothing , and from what I've seen I think someone used my domain before for backlinks or something like that I am not familiar with the SEO strategies which might have hurt my actual situation at the moment but I am unsure of it...

It sux that I cannot get people from google on my website even with a good domain but at least is nice to have a place where you can put work projects interest and so on

Two words, niche and keywords. Some niches and some keywords have low probabilities of bringing your traffic

Nah, you're not bad at ranking on google. Google is bad at ranking our websites lately :D

Tell me more about the powerful domain. Maybe you've been lead to believe that it's strong. Did you pay a lot for it? How do you know it's powerful?

I didn't pay a lot for it but I know it has a lot of power cuz is made out of 2 common words , my real name and website , which aumatically if you should google my first name and website you should see it , because there's no other

There's no easy ways, google's algo is evolving quickly, so you need a clear SEO strategy, a fast website, and high-quality, relevant content to stay ahead.

in terms of fast I have everything optimized , all 5/6 pages on my website 4x100 on google page speed , I only host font locally and what I use , the specific weight , all images webp and the exact render size with compress , so in terms of speed is almost as optimized as possible except the manual javascript removal of 20% of the jquery that I dont use

I see, well, here a powerful domain means it has authority (strong links). Yours just looks nice, it's a brand name, but looking up the keywords doesn't work like before with EMDs.
 
You are still better than the so called 'SEO experts'. Logic being you don't sell dreams to yourself or fool yourself you know :)

I legit bought the domain mainly thinking of the fact that it has common words ‍

I would like to thank you for your kind words , but I am no one... my traffic is not impressive... for which reasons I came here maybe to find some new creative ways that I would like to do not get punished for applying in my real life, a curiosity that I have is what is up with the average position ?

This website from the image says it has average position 14.2 but when you google the website's topic in my country on google appears #2 at all times , I tested from multiple browsers , locations , devices , I even put multiple friends to google the shop type and appears #2 but on my personal website it says average position 1 but as I said I am not even in the first 20 pages from google , why , how , did I understand the feature wrong ?
