Hello I'm sorry if I'm posting i the wrong place but i need a review of my website, the site is http://www.ismokeu.com.
I think that its good regarding ad placement and everything, what do you think?

I am also going to put adsense ads on the bottom of each page also.

i would change the top banner and change the background color to white, im not sure how I feel about that blue
 
i like it... change adsense background to match page background. Site looks plain, get a good template and work on that, make a kickass header banner.... um and always more content.. add more joke sections, maybe add videos
 
hmm thankx for the comments I'd like to keep it very plain and simple since i believe poeple will click more on the ads that way

tbkdkc - I don't agree with adding videos cause people will more likely stay on the site to wacth the videos and do not click on the ads(thats what i think). but i will add more content yes :)
 
I agree with other people. Your site looks too simple. Find a better template/background to use.
 
That site looks like it was made in the 90's.. :D

Install wordpress on there with a decent theme and make sure the adsense blocks blend in with the background... and the banner graphic for that matter too.
A big black adsense box with a funky blue background is not going to get very many clicks.

The position of the adsense box is good though, not only is it above the fold, but ads near the top-left of the page generally have a higher ctr
 
why you use "thankx", looks very unprofessional (in my opinion). And yes, my eyes got hurt in blue background!

I opened it by Mozilla, and I don't find an adsense on it. When I tried to open the site using Opera, TADA, big, and black adsense block on my eyes. LOL.

Man on a scale of 1-10, I give you a 1 just for trying.

Take a look at other websites, pull what you like from them and try to implement it into your own site. Or if you want, pay me and I will create a better looking site.
 
I don't mean to be a jerk but I'm going to be brutally honest with you, hopefully you can take my words and find meaning from them.

1. Design sucks! If you want to make money you need to look professional. If I saw a site like that I'd hit backspace to google before the page was halfway loaded.

2. To little content, bad market. There's already a million of these sites that are much larger than yours.

Advice: Look for a better market that has not been totally saturated. Try finding something unique. While a joke or to might be unique the overall theme is not. As for your domain name I thought I was going to an online retail shop for buying mar!ju@na. Pick something relevant or don't expect traffic from search engines.

Sorry to be offensive but hopefully this steers you in the right direction.
 
Thankx for some suggestions that you guys told me, I was aware of the background color that it might lose me visitors so i changed it and i also changed the ads color.

But there are a lot of people here that keep saying that the design sucks bla bla whatever. I KNOW its a very nice design but the Ctr is pretty good and i don't think i can make it anymore better than it is(the CTR).

All I have to do now is increase a little more content and increase my traffic :)
 
I think its lame. Nothing would make me click any of those buttons or google links.
(i did click on google adds just to make you some $)

Still can't make up my mind about the spelling of blonde. Some say if it's a guy it's blonde with an 'e' and no 'e' if it's a girl. Checked loads of online dictionaries but cannot find the definitive answer.Anyone here know any different?

'Mmmm! I don't do people-bashing, unless you really are stupid and won't learn. However, you say, "People keep saying the design sucks." Sorry guy, THERE IS NO DESIGN, to suck or otherwise. You cannot possibly mean it when you say, "I KNOW it's a very nice design". If you hope to get the clicks it needs to grab the people by the throat, (Balls is better)...and drag them where you want them to go. You need them to 'phone-a-friend' and tell them about this WICKED website they have just discovered. It should be so in their face, they have a nose bleed. You need colour, animation (Flash or even animated GIF's)...and some hot blonde photos, maybe YouTube links. Make it a fun place to be and then, stuff it full of money-making links. But get the design done first.

It's what I do. Please take note, and GOOD LUCK!

I agree with a previous post - install wordpress and a simple template if you are going for the simple look - but unfortunately the current look is just not going to work - and you have chosen a very saturated niche to begin with so you will have to offer a lot more to get people to want to stay on your site and hopefully click an add or two.

I meant to say "I KNOW it's "NOT" a very nice design" my bad.....

But whether you belive it or not which i don't care... people are clicking on the ads and I KNOW I WILL MAKE GOOD MONEY FROM IT ONCE I'LL INCREASE MY TRAFFIC :) WHICH I WILL. Its true that people are more likely to be attracted to a beatiful site, but sometimes simple things work out much better. Take craigslist for example the site looks like crap but its a success, or even google it is one of the simplest search engines out there yet it is the most successful.

When you design a beatiful site people are more likely to click on everywhere except on the ads :/.

And as for calling me stupid ... I believe you are. Everyone has different ideas on how to make their money so you have to respect everyone's ideas even if they are "stupid". :)

Whoa! I didn't call you stupid. Please read my post again.

In the real world, I would get paid $500 MINIMUM for a header and up to $1,000 for a logo. Yes, I am that good.

Your idea of a simple website getting the traffic is not new, but nowadays, with such competition, it is unlikely to work, unless the topic is new. It is like when movie producers decide to film in monotone and not full colour...With the right movie, Elephant Man, Schindler's List...it is right, but with your website, it is definitely wrong.

With respect, I am trained and very experienced in Marketing, Black, White and all colours in between.

I know all the tricks. I could market doggy-doo and I guarantee you would buy it.

Your website is jokes. It needs to be fun so immediately people log on they know it is not a website about euthanasia. It should look like a carnival.

Your mind seems to be fixed, and that's o.k. But you are arguing with an expert. If you want to go with your own ideas, that is your prerogative, but you have just missed the chance of getting a $500.00 header and priceless help with your website for FREE!.
