I signed up with Hostwinds about two weeks ago (shared hosting)... the day after I signed up, the site/server was offline for about half a day, which wasn't a great start and I was very happy that I didn't sign up for an annual plan. However, site stayed up since then... and the services/speeds are quite okay for the money. So I'll keep an eye on it... but at the moment, I am not planning to move my site again soon.

booo hoooo - its like sex - its great !! but never the same with a different girl.
Hostwinds - kicks ass. Dont spoilt it for others. Newbies should know its a great place to start cos they got roots with BHW and BHW is currently hosted on there servers - that should tell you alot bout the quality of business.
Been making shit loads of $$$ frm my sites hosted on em ! Got two sites hosted with them bought the names through them too, aint bothered with the extra 1 or 2 bucks.

i also have very bad experience with hostwinds they suspend my account for high memory usage but my site only receive 1-2k visits per day and in their sales page they say unlimited bandwidth and diskspace but they suspend my account and tell me to order vps so what id do is i moved on to altushost now

Hosting is like sex with a different girl? I'm not even touching this ridiculous analogy.
Because BHW is hosted there tells you a lot about their business? Tells me they probably worked out a barter agreement that unless you're BHW you're not going to get offered? Even if no barter agreement is in place you're comparing shared hosting to dedicated hosting. Apples to oranges.
You're making money from your websites because of the hosting they're on and because you bought the domains from Hostwinds? Really?
