I optimized my primary keywords on meta title and description, H1, content on my home page, but other keywords ranking good, but the primary keyword not ranking on any where, even this keyword search volume only 1500, low competition. Any one know why this is happening?

Might be the you have not incorporated the primary keyword well in the content and it might also not align with the user intent when they search for. Build backlinks and social signals

Keyword infusion and supporting keywords are not putted correctly in the content but if you think i was nicely and natural present in content than have to make backlinks with Seed Keyword anchor text on the relevant sites to allow that keyword should rank.

the search volume and KD score don't mean too much, you need to check which pages of which sites are ranking in top 10 for this keyword, that will tell you how tough ranking for this keyword is...

Nowadays, mostly big authority sites are ranking, so if your domain is weak (less than 20 DA or DR) and your competition has high authority (over 50 DA / DR) you'll need to improve the authority, and this takes time and money...

These being said, with proper SEO you might see some improvements, especially since your domain seems to be in good standing with google, which is important. Just analyze your competition's content and backlinks profile for their ranked pages and try to mimic what they're doing. Also, a few internal links with exact match anchors should help, so try to get 2-3 such links from already indexed pages (if they have traffic if it's even better) that are extremely relevant to the page you're trying to rank for this "main keyword". Sometimes this does boost the rankings a little bit...

But yeah, authority is a big deal nowadays, if your domain is weak you might want to point a lot of strong backlinks to the homepage of your domain to up its authority, otherwise...

Optimize your primary keyword in the content and do internal linking. Also build backlinks to improve authority and trust.

Content might be thin not targeting the keyword naturally or competing with other pages on your site so focus on creating in-depth informative content and build backlinks for a better chance of ranking.

I think you need to optimize the content for your main primary keyword. Ranking for other secondary keywords is great. Also, sometimes it will take more time to rank the primary keyword. If needed update the content and publish more content relevant to the topic. You can build backlinks from authority sites for more link juice.

It sounds like you've taken good steps by optimizing your primary keyword across meta title, description, H1 tags, and homepage content. Despite this, if your primary keyword isn't ranking while others are, it could be due to several reasons. Firstly, ensure your content quality and relevance match search intent for that keyword. Check if there are technical SEO issues like page load speed or mobile optimization affecting rankings. Additionally, competition might be higher than perceived, impacting visibility. Consider expanding content depth and relevance, acquiring quality backlinks, and monitoring search console for insights on how users engage with your site. These efforts can help improve your keyword's ranking over time.

If the content is optimized well, I think your primary keyword is high-competition. It could well be a case of intent is not flowing well with the content, or it is not properly optimized.

But since you said all other keywords are ranking, it has to do with imbalance of your sites authority with that of the top competition.

To check on that you need to be evaluating your competition as well as analyze their link structures and mimic them.

It may take time, but patience is the key!

Hey mates,

thanks for sharing your view, i noticed most them said about "search intent". i written the content for commercial search intent of the keyword. i think i would recheck the technical issues and backlink strength.

That's weird. It seems you've covered the SEO basics for your primary keywords. Did you check for any technical issues or unseen competition. Maybe there are other pages on the website that are targeting the same keywords and ranking them instead.

Acutually, i focused that primary keyword on only this page. but if other pages as well, atleast that other page should get impression on somewhere in SERP right? but nothing is ranking

That's strange. Just to confirm is your website crawled and indexed by Google?

there may still be other websites or pages with higher authority and relevance that are ranking higher for that keyword.

It might be due to technical issues, low domain authority, or strong competition. How about also checking your SEO setup, improving your content, and building more backlinks—--sometimes, it just takes a bit more time to see results.

It might be a technical issue or strong competition. Double-check your SEO and keep tweaking…sometimes even the best keywords need a little extra nudge mate
